My wife's ecas now says "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. "
Since there was no interview, am I right in assuming she has been approved?!!
Also, how long does it usually take until she gets her passport back?

No there is no way to get PCC in a day. You need to get FBI clearance.

This site is all you need.

Generally it takes form 4-16 weeks to get PCC back. Rest is your luck.
If you are in India. I will recommend you to get your fingerprinting done from Delhi from J K consultancy
- Sector 7, Dwarka, New Delhi - 011 26175363. They have good history of no fingerprinting rejected.(sometimes they ask you to redo fingerprinting as it is not clear.

So I will suggest you to send application asap and wait for your credit card to be charged.
Generally you get your PCC back within 3weeks from the day your credit card is charged.

they recieved my app on 14june in ND and den i sent dem my passport on 2nd july by speed post and acc. to speed post my pass delieverd dere on 5july...n
my status said they start procesing my app on 11july and medical recieved..
but da problem is that on 12july dey send me letter wich i recieved today in which they said ...dat dey need my travel document means passport and if i not send dem my passport by 26th july den dey reject my case..
so please help me ..dey send me dis letter by mistake..
how i reply 2 dem ..is dere any email..or wat i do..
any one recieve same type of problem

I'm sorry ND is dumb..

Try sending them a CSE.

Also, best bet is take the PPR letter, your reciept that u had sent them the passport and confirmation that they had recieved it. Also take the 2nd letter you got asking you to submit your passport go see ND on saturday during their public visiting hours. Tell them to stop being stupid and messing with people. kidding..don't say that, just let them know u had recived this letter even after u had sent in your passport.

This is a big fu$k up and trust me you only have 1 option and it is not the easy way out.
Take your PPR, and the receipt for the courier and go to CHC ND in person.

This is your best bet instead of emails or fax.

Just an update, my husband finally received his PR card today! Whoot whoot.

This is not a huge problem. It is simply an overlap in them receiving it and not having added the ppt to your file and your IO sending a general letter asking for your PPT. It has happend before. It takes up a few weeks for them to add the ppt to the files since they receive so much correspondence daily. So simply, it was delievered but before your IP added it to the file, they sent you a letter most likely.

Simply, send a fax with your info (client ID ect) and also the receipt and small note explaining you sent it already and you will be fine. I don't think this requires you to go the CHC ND for this, as it is a common thing that can happen.
