heyy....i just went throught that guide and i read through it.....so like my husband is the person being sponsored and he doesnt have a birth certificate so like can he give his middle standard marksheet as a civil records.....
what is the baptism certificate?
what if my husband wants to get his birth certificate so like he was born in allahabad so he has to obtain the birth certificate from allahabad or he can just get it from kanpur where he has been living from the past 24 years......which one does he has to do.....can he just get the birth certificate from kanpur?

guyss thank u from ur help.....gots lot question so i hope u guys can help me out

B.C is not mandatory, my wife never submitted one as it took her 6-7 months to get one from her small city...she applied in aug and got it in Jan 2011.
Ignore B.C and send PAN/Ration Card/Voters ID copies instead...it worked for me and many others.

Baptism certificate is usually for Christians as it has the name, DOB, details when baptised, usually happens when you are 6m-1 yr old 8)

All the best.

No one can answer this, happens all the time and so does the medical line playing peek a boo....

We assume that they are doing something but no confirmation and we will never be sure of this one.

my husband doesnt have his birth certificate so like can he still sumbit the form without it, can he give his high school marksheet instead?

yes u can do that.
generally people who are well educated they dont need birth certificate to show as told by my known lawyer but still ask what others have to say about it

You don need CAIPS as usually they wont call you for an interview after these many months, Delhi does interviews within 2 months...so CAIPS won be of any help but will ONLY delay the processing at this point of time.

Yes a MP can help is he in Toronto? he would need to send them a email or meet them in person and they can send an email on your behalf which will get a solid reply.

5 months in TO...well that could be a reason for a extensive BC..but no idea, we can just speculate..but i think you are all set and will get the visa very soon as they did not ask you for any additional docs which means your case is straight forward and is just waiting a dumb officer's approval . :P

All the very best.

My husband sent an email to his MP last thursday.. it'll be 4 months on 9th July, since they've had my passport!
What else can I do to speed up the process?
Any suggestions??

So everyone today is the day for PPR and tonight is the night I fly out.. and I will submit the passport the same day I get to India.. as I've printed the copy of the email and a nice little letter with file # and everything else that way all makes sense.....

Thanks everyone... I will be flying at 10:15PM Sharp...

I will try my best to keep the updates going.. and I suggest everyone to post the update in a different color as next page there might be missing info.. so submit your query using the Private message (INBOX) function on the top of the page...

Take care all and Thanks for everything!!!
