DNTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT......move me to the green zone!!!! ;D ;D ;D....

To start with...I hv never ever had such a nerve wrecking day in my life

My husband said it was a very light discussion..with the VO being an Indian Man..

He's asked a questions specifically related our case...and also general q's like, how did u meet ur wife...when did u get married...where did u study...etc ...the interview lasted for abt 40 mins...
He'd showed pics and asked to identify who was in it..but over all my husband said the VO loosened a bit and it was more like having a casual conversation.

At the end he's said' I apprv ur application...I can see that you both are in love'! :)

to add to it...The VO has even shared the story of how he got married and the hurdles he's had!

I can't thank u guys enough for all the support I've got on this forum.
fprince/ DNT/FebPr/ Gagan Ji/ Nylalisa/ cdngrl/ benjo...u'll hv been great!sorry if I've missed anyone..! too excited! :D

** I ordered CAIPS two weeks ago and I had to really push them and got mine yesterday. It's no more CAIPS. It's GCMS..no funny codes that u can't understand. U can read the notes in plain English. They had listed abt 7-8 concerns they had in our case and the VO addressed only 2-3...so basically it was not worth worrying too much abt. But at least we were prepared.

Boy...I can't still believe I'm posting this!!!

My wife's gonna love this post !
Congrats !
Told ya, its gonna be easy and you don need CAIPS..party time...grr wife is home so can't drink at 11 am..

Congrats Bring...All the Best.

Yes, you do ...avoid US.

Which city are you flying out? take Jet, AirFrance, Lufthansa..avoid entering US..first you need a transit visa and 2. It is painful.

Genius, good job!!!! There is no reason they cant accomodate ppl. You and I are both proof. Also pulling that line that an Embassy didn't give you enough time, scares them because they are now possibly creating a whole lot of problems down the road if something goes wrong with your case and CAIPS could have helped. I am really very happy for you. And to anyone who needs questions answered , feel free to always PM me; even if you dont see me posting alot. Ill always answer.
OMG...... CONGRATS DNT .... WISH U A SPEEDY VISA .... AND BRIN...... CONGRATS TO U ..... UR WAIT IS OVER...... HAVE A GREAT REUINON........ HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS...

You don need CAIPS as usually they wont call you for an interview after these many months, Delhi does interviews within 2 months...so CAIPS won be of any help but will ONLY delay the processing at this point of time.

Yes a MP can help is he in Toronto? he would need to send them a email or meet them in person and they can send an email on your behalf which will get a solid reply.

5 months in TO...well that could be a reason for a extensive BC..but no idea, we can just speculate..but i think you are all set and will get the visa very soon as they did not ask you for any additional docs which means your case is straight forward and is just waiting a dumb officer's approval . :P

All the very best.

Hi,
Thank u for the encouraging words!
I have another question, are the medicals assessed in the end? Is that the last step??
Would appreciate your reply..

Congrats DNT2003 and Brin! :)

I assume medicals are validated in the begining, if there are serious disease they will not allow entry into Canada however with the spousal class a lot of things are exempt.

They will only validate the expiry date of medicals when they attach the visa as both dates will co-incide.

Visa Expiry = Medicals expiry ( 1 yr from the medicals ) usually.

First thing I'm going to do is to throw all the immigration paperwork I have at home in to recycling!!!! ;)
It's been a stressful process alright....and I can't even explain how relived I am!!!!

@ gagan ji
Thank u so much!!! Yes..my husband going to look in to it once he gets back to Madras! 

@ nylalisa
Thank u! If I hadn't spoken to u...I wldn't hv got my divorce judgement ready to mail it when they asked for it. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply to my msges!!!

Oh...and that 'be pushy' part to get ur CAIPS...it worked!!! I used ur line of ND not giving enough time to request CAIPS ;) ;) ;)

@ Manisha
The concerns were really specific to my case...but I don't mind sharing it.
This is what it said
1. The applicant(A)(my husband) is a yr younger than the sponsor(S) –This is unusual
2. First marriage for the A and second for the S- This is unusual
3. A's parents and sister didn't attend the wedding, this being the first marriage in the family- This is unusual
4. Sister didn't attend the wedding, despite being in USA(marriage took place in USA) -This is unusual
5. It is unusual for A to get married when there is an unmarried elder sister
6. The Application was filed after 5 mnths of S's return to Canada- This is unusual
7. A had previous TRV and Student visa refusals
My husband did ask the VO how long it will take for the BC, and contradicting to what we discussed on the forum, the VO has mentioned that if you travel frequently then they don't bother so much with a serious background check and that they also take in to consideration your educational qualifications and profession when they start a BC.

The date on the sponsorship approval letter is when the clock starts ticking for CHC ND.

From that date within 6 months is their service level agreement to get most of the cases done.
Interviews will be done within 2 months.

Thanks for replying!

I don't know if you remember my case but i'll summarize it for you:

Application filed: March 9/11
Sent to ND: April 11/11
ND sent letter for additional documents and photos of our honeymoon: April 26/11 ---> letter went missing thanks to IPS
Request for passport and additional documents re-sent: June 9/2011, PP and documents sent June 15/11

if they were to set an interview, would they have notified us by now or no?
