@ fprince: yes.. i ve nt been to India for 3 years so I am quite eager to go there.. :)

Can i ask you where the PPR will be sent? to India or to your hubby in Toronto?

I was also hoping to see lots of visas or PPRs from CHC-New Delhi as they did during the last long weekend (24th April).

After so long my ECAS application today has changed to IN PROCESS from Application Received. Finally .. Not sure what this means .. excepting the fact that my spouse's application is now being reviewed.

File Rx : Mar 29
Received in Delhi CHC on April 5th
In Process: May 18

No PPR yet :)

exactly my thought... it still could happen - as we all know ecas is not very reliable in conveying updates!

I am also hoping to see the Decision Made status soon.

Your and my timelines to receive the file in New-Delhi (April 5th) and PPR (April 15th) are same. They have opened your file, but no change in status for me. At least update the status for the medical results. Medicals were done long back in January.

Cheers,

Hi FebPR,

Mine passport too reached ND on May 2, 2011.

It is being saying "in process" from May 11,2011.

It seems like they started working on my file.

Hopefully, u will get Decision made soon from "application recieved"

Regards,

Our immigration consultant said it wld be sent to my home address in India.. hw long does it usually take for a ppr since the file was transferred??

Hey everybody, been a while since i've had a chance to hop on these forums. I just wanted to update my status. Delhi has confirmed receipt of file on May 10.
Thanks.

@ gagan ji

Where is your daily wish for the day ? :)

Usually people have received PPR letter within 3 to 4 weeks of file being received in New Delhi. But there are few exceptions as well. Nothing is for sure when dealing with New Delhi.

You can go through some interesting statistics related to previous members.

Hey everyone. I'm not exactly new to this forum, having read most of your comments over the last few weeks. Congrats to everyone getting their visas!

I've been waiting for my wife's visa for a long time now. I applied way back in October 5th of last year at CPC-M, and my application was sent back on November 15th, because they needed additional documentation. Once I sent that, I was approved on December 23rd, 2010. The file was transferred/received in ND on January 3rd, 2011, and PPR was requested January 15th. There was a small delay in the sending the passport, but it was sent by the first week on March, and this showed up on e-CAS as "We started processing xxxx's application on March 17, 2011." The reason for the delay in sending the passport was, my wife was out of the country until they request for the passport came, so she had to travel back to India to deliver it. She's been back in India for 2 months now, just waiting.

Any idea on how much longer it might take? Is it because of security clearance/background checks? Some people here have gotten through in days from 'Received' to 'Decision Made' so I just want to know if anyone had a similar experience being out of the country and then returning to deliver the passport.

Thanx!

gwalyat Does New delhi will start issuing visa in 3 weeks prior to the date ND receive my husband passport ? does the waiting time 3 weeks count Sat Sun in India ?
