We received PPR today from ND.. dated was 28th March 2011 but mail received today 29th April 2011.. it took whole 1 month in transit (what the heck).. It is a sheer coincidence that today itself we emailed / faxed to ND.. and after few hours we received this letter.

PS : It is note worthy that the postal transit taking longer time (1 month in our case) therefor those who haven't heard withing th expected time must contact ND via email/fax to informed that they haven't received it anything. So be very alert regarding mails as it is coming by ordinary mail.

you can do that, but you can also apply while you have PIO in hand, you will get discount for OCI because you already have PIO, not sure if you will be able to upgrade after expired, NOT sure, but I wouldn't want you paying them full $275USD for OCI.

Yay my husband got his PPR DATED. APRIL.18/2011 AND HE RECIEVED YESTERDAY IN INDIA.... finally...

Congrats deepiv, now that they have asked him questions on the phone and sent his PPR, you should be all clear and will get the Visa very soon. All the best.

Ignore my geography, but Jaipur is in Gujarat?

My wife is close to Surat.. Gujarat..

I wonder if I'm in the similar situation :S

While waiting for airforcerally, I'll add in my 2 cents. Jaipur is in Rajasthan, which is a state directly to the north of Gujarat. However, I think Jaipur and Surat are quite far apart.

But Jaipur is fairly close to Delhi, I know people from Delhi make day trips to Jaipur and come back at night. So it baffles me that a letter would take a month to reach Delhi to Jaipur...I don't think distance is the issue here, it is a screw-up either by CHC ND or Indian Post. Even folks in Andaman & Nicobar Islands will get their letters delivered in less than a month. So I don't think you can compare this to any other situation.

Don't worry about your PPR, you will get it soon

@ avibis : ND send it immediately.. as I can see delhi postal date stamp on it on 29th Mar.. so I guess its postal delay..

@ DNT2003 : Jaipur in Rajasthan.. yes avibis you are right.. its hardly 5-6 hrs distance from delhi - jaipur..

Anyway atlast letter reached us safely..

Use the applicants info when loggin in with the file number. Try combinations of his surname to login.
The default error message asks you to use a file with a B.

@deepiv you can use UCID number as well. (Top left on PPR letter)

Wow I didn't get to complete all my backlogs of posts from yesterday, and before I can put out an update, I see you've got your PPR, congratulations... I never got to put you in the RED zone, but I'm glad I can direclty put you in the BLUE zone.. I hope for a speedy visa for you and all of us...

I wonder why the POST office toooook soooo long to get the mail to you, or was it ND never gave the letter to post office? something is not right!!

ND posted mail on 29th March as there is delhi postal deparmtnet date stamp on it.. so something wrong with post office. And thanks for Granting me BLUE zone...

On my husbands passport request...I read some people get asked to submit Supplimentary Travel Form...
my husband never submitted his...but they never asked him to either on the PPR
Also we payed the PR fee when we sent the initial application to MISSISAUGA,
And Police Clearance is done aswell...
soooo any ideas what to doo
write a cover letter..along with passport?

should he send in the supplemntary travel form...even if they didnt ask him to?

hey,

same thing happend with me....my wife forgot to include this form and applicant's checklist and visa office didnt ask anything. But we sent these forms to avoid delay....now waiting for visa....i will suggest include this supplementary form and mentioned it in cover letter along with pcc and fee receipt. Enclosedcopy of fee receipt.

Send them the Supplementary Travel Form, it's good to be proactive to avoid any unnecessary delays. Mention in the cover letter you missed sending it earlier and are sending it now.

As for PCC and Receipt, if you already submitted the originals along with your application, just provide them with a photocopy of those and mention in the cover letter that you already submitted the originals.

And lastly...don't forget to send your passport too LOL. All the best.

copy of the reciept...like should i scan the copy..i only have the first copy...and the second one the bank does..because it was paayed cash at a financial institution...
but i did overpay 60$ and got a refund...so should I send a copy of the AOR saying they recieved the money...or the 60$ overpayment..letter refund

I personally think it is not a must to attach these if you've already sent the docs. It is a stnd letter they send to eveyone. Some people don't pay the landing fee or the PCC with the application, and it applies to them.
Yet...if u want to feel safe send a copy of the receipt (Front and back..that has the bar code and the bank stamp..with ur details written at the bk) and a copy of the PCC would do.
The AOR ONLY says it's a receipt of the processing fee u paid ( $75 to dothe sponsorship evaluation)
