Subsection 130(1)b of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations states that the sponsor must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who resides in Canada.Consequently if the immigration gets proof that the sponsor is not staying in Canada during the process they have the right to reject the visa.But a short visit upto 3 weeks abroad is okay.

How did they find out that you were out of the country ?

Hi Guys,

Can anyone who has got their PR for their spouses give me the statuses that show up on ECAS after the sponsor approval...They are

1.) App Received
2.) Medicals Received
3.) Processing ( App in Process)

What is the next stage ? Decision Made or Complete ? Or is there other statuses that show on the ECAS

After IN PROCESS it goes to COMPLETE and when you click on COMPLETE you will see this :

Decision has been made on XXXXXXX application, we will contact XXXXXX concerning this decision< means Visa has been stamped !

In your opinion where does the greatest delay occur ? Is between Stage4 and Stage 5 or is it Stage 3 and Stage 4.

Can happen any where, we have seen it all here..in my case its fudking 4

Delay is usually from IN Process to get Complete,as they put the files down due to their ownmysterious reasons and stupid reviews and back ground checks,depending upon the complexity of the case itself so it's hard to trend it.

We havent heard anything bad about Ecas tracker anywhere and we have lots of members here using it, But personally speaking I didnt use it for my case, For me it's of no use

I have the client number remembered by heart now lol it takes less than 15 seconds to log on to ECAS on CIC and check it so why use Ecas tracker and think if we are safe or not right ?

IMO Ecas tracker is a no go !

hii......Well as its not owned by cic, its still safe i guess, as I haven't seen ppl complaining abt it...but I guess it depends on the individual how comfortable they are giving there information out to them, also more or less its gonna show you the same thing !! Oh btw goodluck.....

Panda just curious...Since your app processed so soon, Do you think it is because your are a Citizen ? Do PR sponsor apps goes slower than the Citizen apps ?
There must be some reason why certain files just sit at their desks.... I mean i would think if the relationship is genuine, the sponsor has a job etc, the PR should go soon right ? I'm starting to see paterns where Citizen sponsorship goes sooner than normal PR sponsor

Folks who have a bit confusion regarding ECAS status :

Usually New Delhi VO will not change the status to Decison Made from In Process, they change it from In Process directly to COMPLETE which means Visa has been stamped and Landing Confirmation Letter has been sent.

COMPLETE
(This is the last step in the processing of your application.) Applicant Arrives in Canada and is Granted
Permanent Residence.You will need to meet with an Immigration Officer who will verify your documents and grant you permanent residence if all is in order.

I am not a canadian citizen yet but I will be a citizen in couple months from now, I am still a PR and when I sponsored my wife as a PR.

As far as trend is concerned there is no trend by New Delhi VO, we spent so much time here looking for trend but new delhi VO is random, There are members sitting from September and August which doesnt make sense at all so no trend at all.

They have their own way to work there, I just used to think positive irrespective of the situations.

I am so thankful to GOD who listened our prayers and our case got completed so fast in just 80 days, it's a mircale to me and wife.

For those waiting for long I wish them all the luck, just think positive, Positive thinking can do miracles !
