Hello Folks,

I'm a silent reader of this thread. My sponsorship was approved in November 10 and now I'm in the waiting game to get my spouse's done. The PPR came in early December and almost seems like the processing has come to a halt. I have a couple questions.

Can i go to India and visit my wife ? If yes, How long can i stay ? Since the process has been a while I was wondering if i will be able to stay for 4-6 weeks there and then when my wife's PR get issued bring her back with me ? I'm a Canadian PR and not a Canadian citizen

Will there a problem if me and my wife fly together with her being a first time entrant with PR ?

Thanks a lot guys

Hi Canuck;

What does your ECAS states at this time ?

Panda,

It says Processing, My medicals have gone away as well.... Does the Visa Process take longer if the Couple have been in US ? My wife and I studied in US and stayed there for a while..But we decided to move to Canada..I had a PR thru family. Ours I assumed was a straight forward case, Lot of Marriage photos, invites, letters, bills etc..But I dont know its been a while now...

A lot of confusion on Ecas guys..just now they updated to COMPLETE But application status still shows " IN PROCESS". no idea should i happy or it's just a system error.......

Thanks a lot fprince... I'm not a Canadian Citizen. But a Canadian PR. Will that impact how long i stay in India ?

I am a canadian PR too my friend, as a PR your olbigations are only to be in canada for 3 years in any 5 year time frame.
You can go visit your wife, stay for a month and return with her and she can land..will be no issues..
You file is in India and is being processes, as long as your wife does not leave the country everything is straight forward..

and as i said..i do not believe CHC ND will even know you are in India..they can not be tracking all that info, your file is in the last stage of getting a visa..

all the best and enjoy the stay..looks like many ppl like me on this thread who have waited for more than 4-5 months will be doing the same thing :-)

Goodnews, this is good news..i think they have stamped and sent the passport out..usually this is when they change it to decision made..my best wishes to you and your wife :-)

My ECAS got COMPLETE !

The decision has been made on your application and we will contact XXXXXXX regarding this decison.

It means usually they send out the VISA along with the photographs and other documents back

HELL YEAH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes they usually stamp the VISA same day they do COMPLETE on ECAS !

Goodnews you and me got approved on same day I guess and we recived PPR on same day too LOL

Time to do Bhangra now !

Best of luck to you all !

@Vish what does your ECAS says ?

Congratulations ! Panda

I really thankful of God . i hope everyone get the Visa soon as Panda and myself have it.w

My application status shows complete But when we click on the PR for outside canada, it's still as in process. i hope nothing wrong..

My status got changed this Morning. what i have noticed they do every sunday instead of tuesday..

Yes it's Bhangra time LoLZZ.

The tables will help you understand the status of your application :Application for Permanent Residence Outside Canada is just a generic chart to see what does the status means

The ECAS status : COMPLETE (This is the last step in the processing of your application.)

When the ECAS changes to COMPLETE > Decision Made > indicates they have stamped the VISA and passport will be posted now.

@ Vish what does your ECAS says ?

Hi Sorry, but what exactly seems to be in problem if you stay there for more than 3 weeks. It is not mentioned anywhere that a indian citizen can not see his wife for more than 3 weeks when her application is in process..can you tell us more details as why the rejected when you spent time in india
