In late November I sent it to CIC, on January 8th they mailed me my confirmation that that I meet the eligibility requirements. On January 22 they said online that they recieved my wives Medical reports. Is that good or bad?

its good that they gave u assuaranac that pp will be back by 3 or 4 weeeks.......so u dnt worry ur pp will be back soon as soon as u fulfil their required documents............

I' m wondering if it's common for ND visa office to ask for new PCC as it takes more than 3 months for whole process and PCC is only valid for 3 months I heard? May be, senior members can answer this question please.

Police clearance is only valid for 3mths/90days from the date it has been issued to you, btw when did you submitted your file to CIC>??

Its true PCC is valid for 3 months.

But it should be in validity period, while you are applying only.

Now, if you have lived in some other country too.
then they surely ask you for PCC from that other country also.
for instance , someone born and brought up in india and he/she has job in UK for 2-3 years.

Thats all.

Thanks for the replies and clarifying those questions for me. It also stated on the paper that the passport will be back in 3 to 4 weeks does that mean it will be stamped with the visa or that they will want an interview? I am very confused because I have not found a definite answer on these forums. And They also want another police report, why?

And yeah my family only gave half the money beforehand. I thought they had payed in full. And I hope that didnt cause any further delays.

Sanyrog its your turn now Just hang on for some more time and dont give up on this. Life will be much happier once you land in Toronto (Although a bit cold lol) We are just getting over the winter chill and next week is ice-melt week temperatures at 0 - almost like spring.
