@santiV

they had spelled my wifes last name wrong as well and they corrected it on ecas on their own , I did sent in a letter very early in the process but they had said they hadnt received her application yet, i guess they had kept that letter on file and corrected her last name . the other thing is they will stamp the visa to the name that is on the passport and nothing else . So I wouldnt worry too much about the last name and the order much

Hi, :)

I have been following the forum for a couple of months, getting good advice and info about the process of immigration. Thank you to all:)

We are blessed to have a rather fast process thus far...but now getting very anxious. Our application status online says 'in process' but the spelling of my husbands name is incorrect (as well as the order). Our lawyers and I have both sent emails to notify the consulate of the spelling error but they haven't replied or changed the spelling on the website...

Does anyone know who to contact for this? Do they change the status online often? Has anyone who has been approved seen that the application status online still says 'in process'?
How do we even know that they have his passport safely? (he did send it by registered mail and it confirmed the arrival)

I am probably just being impatient ...
I want to be with him for Christmas and the New Year:) I want him here with me in Canada ASAP:)

Our case is very straightforward; We met in person a couple of years ago, spent time getting to know one another, no previous marriages or children, good citizens, wonderful wedding with both families present (mostly so), lots of pictures and a very large pile of communication proof ... we are very genuine loving yoga practitioners/teachers:) We really miss each other :-\

It is getting very difficult and not only do i want my husband near me because I love him, but i also feel safe with him.... Now i am alone and feel kinda vulnerable...

In any case, we are lucky to have one another even if it does mean we have to wait.

Many blessings to everyone here, may we be re-united with our loved ones very very soon :D

Congrates for your fast processing timelines.. :)
Don't worry you have mailed them regarding your concern.
Once they will open your file for final review, they will consider your request of changing name. They have flaged your email for name change and will reply to same mail when work is done.

Or else you can do case specific enquiry (But I'll not suggest).

Till then have patience.
Good luck to everyone w8ing to meet there better half.

Hey guys,

I recieved my Passport with Visa on it today in Registered Mail. The date of issue is 24th of November, and the Visa is valid until August 30th, 2011. The package contained my PP, about a billion pictures my husband sent (Ok, i exaggerate, but about 400, 200 of our dating phase and 200 of the wedding each with its explanation at the back, makes me wanna appreciate the work the husband did, and i do), the original marriage certificate that we had requested for them to return, and the COPR letter. I was sent out on Nov 26th, so took about tentatively 6 days to come.

I hope all of you guys have good news coming VERY soon. I will keep you guys in my prayers. All the best.

Thanks for all the support you guys.

Guys did any of you get married outside India. The reason being mine was held in Toronto, will that anyways speed up the process.

congrats guptash! must feel great to have the pp in your hand! good luck with the move.

@sevenseconds - i got married in india. not sure if a wedding in toronto makes a difference to the timelines - my guess is it doesn't.

@ sevenseconds :
It will not make any diff as your application is processed in ND.

@ Guptash :: Congrats!!! God Bless you Both...

Hi everyone...

I am getting a little worried about my passport now... Everyone has got it and I still haven't :( :( :( :( ...
Guys am I freaking out a little too much or is it normal...
Oh God... I have started shaking....
Please Help!!!

@ Patience 07: You should have it in your hands very soon! Don't be worried AT ALL. It will come as it is registered and you will have to sign it to recieve it. Also, it depends on where you are located for you to get your passport. It will come sooner than soon. Probably tomorrow or day after.

Don't worry at all. When are you lookin to fly? Where to do you fly to if you dont mind? I am flying next week on Wednesday to Calgary.

@ Guptash... thanx buddy...

I am flying to Vancouver... My sister in law is in Calgary.... I wanted to fly by next Thursday....
Oh God... this wait is even harder...
I want to seee my hubbbbbbbbbbbyyyyyyy... I miss him soooooooooo much....

God I am IMPATIENTLY waiting for that mail...
Well my PPR request got to me in 8days... It was dated the 28th of September and I got it on the 5th of October....
I am at trivandrum in Kerala...

So dont know... When I am going to get it...
In fact both of us have started getting impatient....

I was just wondering i havn't received PPR yet but what is the address where you send the passport to. Is it the PO BOX address. if it is how do they accept the courier at PO Box.

Please provide the address to mail the PP and the preferred courier company

No. It doesn't matter at all where you got married. Getting married in Canada will have no effect on your processing time. CIC's only interest is a. is your marriage legal in the country where you were married and b. do you have convincing proof that your relationship is genuine and continuing.

Guys who are waiting for In process.. Did u get reply from ND, if u ve sent email to them?

And, others..

Is there any way where in we can go ask any1 personally? to ND embassy? Its been 70days since my sponsorship is approved, and havent heard a thing from ND. They are so slow!!! As per their website, they shud ve done the initial review in a month of sponsorship approval. Dono whats causing them delay to open the file. Do you think, its cos of year end? closing all back logs? And will there be any constraint that they shud process only these many files in a yr? Just thinkin of all possibilities.. going crazy

no update for me 2 sanyrog...........i am just wondering what they are doing actually??just worried i dont knoww hat can we do else

Even I'm in mumbai but Mine PP was sent on 17th Nov but got on 24th Nov. From New Delhi to Mumbai took max 1 day for other courier.
I'll suggest you to visit post office once atleast.
I too collected it from Post office otherwise it would have taken one more day to reach me :)

Good Luck
