Guys couple of questions:

My wife had sent her PP to New Delhi Canadian Consulate on 10 September. How would the consulate send the passport back? Will they send it via registered post or can we arrange for a courier somehow (not sure if it is possible)?

We have given my in-laws address as the postal address in Hyderabad. Incase if it is a registered post, should my wife be physically present to collect the passport or her parents can collect on her behalf? (My wife works in Bangalore. She had issued Authorization letter to her dad for delivery of the passport on her absence. Would that be sufficient?)

Hope to hear soon

Thanks and regards

V

Hi Vinjovi,

New Delhi send passport by register post means speed post.
No you can't arrange courier for get back, you can send PPR by courier but CIC will be sent by speed post.

if you provide cic Ur in law address there is no problem she don't have to be there as person.

Finally, received my passport with Visa!!!!

Hello Friends,

Thanks a lot for the Input Rocky.. appreciate it.. My wife had sent the passport on 10 September. It was received on 11 sep. Approximately in many days can we expect the PP back with the visa stamp on it?

hello all!

Our application has been successfully forwarded to New Delhi on Sep 27th :) Now gotta wait for the passport request from ND. Which will take 1month approximately right?

I am off to India to attend my sister cousins wedding, and be with my wife. Her interview is on Oct 20th and I was debating with my lawyer and trusted family whether to go or not. In the end I decided to attend as my cousins wedding was arranged for same period and also we have nothing to hide from the IO at CIC. Can anyone direct me to any links covering the actual interview or share their personal experiences. On another note how is Delhi traffic going to be during the Games?? Coming down from Punjab probably a day ahead of the interview.

you are welcome vinjovi,

well you have to keep passion dude, coz it's hard to say, it's all depend on case and VO some ppls get back with in 2 weeks some ppls get back after 8 or 10 weeks.

oh god .. will thr be any postal delays due to the judgement reasons ??? or will the ND office b working without any holiday declarations ??

i hope these judgement after effects should not create any processing or postal delays ...

Sim85,
new Delhi cic 1st step is send AOR and PPR.
so yes after PPR any time they can ask for interview.
if you read PPR later they do mention PPR request means not that we r ready for stamp visa.

I got so frustrated today been 15 days now and no ppr for my wife yet I actually called the post office at chanakyapuri and asked for any delays , they told me business is as per normal and will stay as per as far as they know, the backlog from the rains has also been cleared . Its going to be 16 days tommorrow , wht do you guys thing does that warrant for a letter to cic regarding an update or wait some more ?

After submitting my PP on July 21st and receiving a phone call on Aug 23rd asking for FBI Certificate (Delivered to them on Sept. 2nd), I gave in day before and emailed them (Sept. 28th)! Hopefully they'll revert by tomorrow! My wife even spoke to an Immigration Rep at the MPs office. They faxed CHC ND to enquire my status! Sorry I think I posted this info day before too, i'm kinda getting frustrated now, really want a decision now!

kal 1313 - Give it at least 2-3 more weeks buddy! Good Luck!
