Hang on! Montreal is in the province of Quebec! And for Quebec, one needs additional approval. If I were you, I would not risk it! Land in the city as mentioned during the time of application. All the best!

I received my FBI Police Clearance Letter today and couriered it to CHC - DELHI by Bluedart Overnight Express! Lovin' the drama in my life! =) Good Luck all!

OMG.This is really scary.Will I be able to atleast visit montreal after I land in vancouver as my husband is currently there for a short period of abt 3 weeks.But we have leased an apartment at vancouver.Now he stays at a hotel in montreal sponsored by his office

Kittyamul, you will be able to move around anywhere in Canada once you are a landed immigrant. So no need to worry. Just make sure when you land in vancouver to give the Immigration officer the correct address in vancouver (as that is where they will mail your PR card).

No need to get scared! Of course you will be able to visit Montreal! The thread below is for FSW category but I guess the newly landed immigrant procedure will be the same for all. As per the thread, you can even land in Quebec BUT the record of landing will have to be submitted later at another province because of Quebec CSQ Certificate requirement. To avoid all of this, its better to land at any other city in my opinion! Good luck and have a good time now!

I got the passport today!!! Visa stamped 24 Aug 2010 and received it today.


I am going on 8 September. I wil be going to Calgary then to Fort Mcmurray

I am really happy thats a lot guys for helping me a lot !
