One thing more.. My spouse has notn recieved it client id or file number.. The letter which I have recieved has my client id...
how will we know what the status on our file which is in New delhi.. will it be updated on my client id only??

Per inputs from other members, I think New Delhi starts processing in 20 days' time after it has been dispatched from CPC-M! My spouse received the sponsorship approval letter on June 23rd, which was dated June 18th! I am hoping the processing of my app. will start sometime next week. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Ur spouse will receive a file # only when he/she receives correspondence from the respective visa office. The file number is stated on the letter. Till then, you can continue to track status update on eCAS using your client ID/Receipt #. Good Luck!

still no news from ND.......WAITIIINNNGGGGGGGGGG >:(

Hi Minku, yes this 2nd part is main deal
they will check all information as u says in Ur file they will cross check that all
they will see if u have travel history if u have it will be take more time coz then they gonna check which country u went how long and everything was OK there with you .....

they will send officer were Ur marriage done like tample or court and they will cross check records there so this kind of things they do in
background check and its why take little long time ......

Hi everybody, i have a question here. What they check in background(spouse case)?
marriage is genuine or not or they check all things like credantial, occupation etc.

you and your spouse have the same file number. You dont have to worry about it. Once a number has been issued it the same number for both of you .. good luck :)

delhi does first review in a month's time....so ive to wait for 3 more weeks.....

once ur file is trasferred to delhi, you will be able to see the status automatically. it will say they have started processing ur wife's( the name of the applicant) application on a date. u can use the same client id pass to log in and check it out.

no updates....seems ND is slow in processing...

We just got our visa today so wanted to give everyone my time-line as I have spent the past 3 months counting forward and backwards from other peoples time-lines! ;D

April 1, 2010: Mississauga received Application
April 30, 2010: Decision Made
May 2, 2010: ECAS Activated For the First Time
May 21, 2010: New Delhi Started Processing
May 24, 2010: ECAS shows In-Process for PR
May 26, 2010: AOR and Passport Request by Letter
June 4, 2010: Passport Submitted
June 19, 2010: Received Pictures
June 30, 2010: Sent Case-Specific Inquiry Email
July 5, 2010: Received email stating that application was under final review
July 6, 2010: Visa Issued
July 10, 2010: Received Passport

As of July 10, 2010, My ECAS still reads In-Process. ::)

I mentioned the email that we sent because I find it interesting that our visa was issued the day after we got a response from them. Whether the email helped or not, I really don't know. I just figured it didn't hurt to try!

;D
