Very much happy for you that finally ND started giving Visas. Hopefully everyone will get their passport with visa very soon.

Just one question that why ND asked you to collect your passport from the Embassy, you should have received it by Post isn't it??

Nice to hear,but be carefull,May be someone just fun with you on phone
or May CIC will catch you ,when u will go to receive ur PP.
I think ,ND never call for collect visa and there are no issue that you land before 6 May.
You can land in 60 days of issuing the visa.

but happy you got a call from CIC.

But we when will get,,,,stilll don;t know.

It is strange that ND would call about the visa, but its not so strange about Landing by May 6th, as I have seen cases where their medicals are expiring, so either they land before that date or redo medicals.
And by looking at Dreamsca's timeline, medical was Done on May5th of last year.

hey don't worry, you can expect call from ND as same as email or register post.
Most of time they call applicant to receive his/her Passport.

BTW, I am also expecting call rather than Email or register post

It "looks" completely legitimate in her case.....
We have seen cases where ND "calls" when the medicals is about to expire and the visa is ready.
they even make confirmation before stamping the visa if the medical is going to expire shortly...
Because they can stamp the visa only till that date and if the immigrant visa expires and the person is not able to land, then its a complete mess for both of them.

Since the standard postal delay is 10-12 days, they don't even want that to interfere.

Thats why they have asked to come and pick up !

don't feel like coming to the forum any more for a bit...finding things tough and depressing...want to try things differently now...will not be checking my ecas either...will come here only to post any updates when i get them...so don't worry will keep you posted...i will check out on how all my friends are doing then

I can fully empathize you....I have undergone the same phase of frustration and later when I thought about it, I felt it is totally worthless to get frustrated or even feel about it. Life is much bigger than VISA issues ! All the best.

Hi, I am looking at the spreadsheet. There are many people who haven't recieved their visa but have gotten their ppr. I was wondering are there problems with their cases or are they just not updating their timelines because their spouses have arrived.

Like vengat said, the phone call is totally legit. Your medical is expiring next month and they dont want to take any chances! Good luck & 'Welcome to Canada'

Just Rec'd GCMS notes.

Somewhere between the lines I read this "Information, Photographs and documents submitted with the application suggest a bona fide relationship. Recommend waiver of Interview"

And then on top of it another Officer has written this:
" I concur with the waiver recommendation. No Concerns. Crim passed. Request passport"

This GCMS notes i got is having a timestamp of Mar 28. Now although i knew much better information, this notes calmed down by nerves and aided me interms of understanding the Visa Officers perspective on our file. It feels better to know they're completely convinced about us.

Like I said earlier, I knew a few days back from MP that criminality, security, background and medical checks are all completed. My instincts tell me that on the Bring Fwd Date 25th April, 2012, the officer would have already made a decision for stamping which currently is not yet reflecting on the ecas.

But i will hold on to it for one more week and see how things change...
