A request to some of the more experienced/seasoned members of this forum. Would somebody be able to compile a list of all possible E-CAS statuses at various stages of CHC-ND Outland Spousal Sponsorship process (assuming a straightforward application) and their meaning and also what to expect next (and after how much time approximately)? This will benefit some newbies like me. Thanks in advance.

Hey, how do you know that you are in the line for an interview??

I can't believe there have been so many interview letters sent out this week! I think CIC-ND is going back to the old files, to get those done- and putting a little hold on visa issuance on the newer files for the moment

what else could the holdup be??? I mean my file is not even 'in progress' yet!!!

anyways ya i think so too....their year end is apparently march 31....so they try to pump out as many files towards the end

guess that means keeping the more 'complicated' ones aside for later

mayb they r still considering the additional info we sent them...mayb ecas is wrong...let's hope whatever it is my file gets done asap

I am still waiting for my wife's sponsorship. I applied on January 30th to CIC-Mississauga and it was received on January 31st. Can anyone let me know how many weeks I have to wait to get approved? Furthermore, once I am approved, what is on average the time it will take for my wife's to come over here once the paperwork is sent to New Delhi? Thanks

Lastly, how can I apply my date information for my profile?

Can someone explain the acronyms on the spreadsheet?

PPR?-
DOC/INT-
DM/VISA
DM Days
Last Communication
Total

Can someone add me to the spreadsheet as well? I sent my application on January 30th and it was received on the 31st.
Thanks!

I received my approval dated April 5, 2012. Could someone please update my info to the spreadsheet.

As per my knowledge

PPR?- Passport Request
DOC/INT- Documents asked for/ Interview
DM/VISA- Decision Made
DM Days- In how many days decision has been made
Last Communication--Last communication you got from ND, it can be a interview call or PP request or anything
Total- How many days have been passed so far since you submitted your application for sponsorship.

Hi friends,
I have heard that Rules got changed for Spouse PR Visa. From March onwards people won't get PR visa, people will only get Dependent Visa (I personally Don't know the truth as yet, as i did not read anywhere this)

Anyone know about this by any chance?

According to reports, the government wants to introduce a temporary permanent residence, called “conditional permanent residence”, for those coming to join their spouses. The temporary residence will be valid for two years. the spouse will have only a temporary permit for two years, and the full permanent residence will be granted only after two years of living with the spouse who sponsored.
if they are issuing temporary residence then processing time should be 1 week only not 8-24 months. >:( >:( >:(
