Hi Guys,
So my MP got back to me, with not so great news.
He was told that we will be having an interview. He also said that they believe our marriage is genuine but need some clarifications :/

No idea about when the interview will happen.
Life goes on as usual for now...

On a side note:
Do any of you have any recommendations for a medical insurance company? (This is for my parents, coming from Mumbai as visitors
)

Hi Cival,

Could you let me know how to contact the MP please? Its been a while for me also and there are no updates at all from ND.

Thanks

@ sumant
Yes my status is still "Application received"

Go here to find your MP: http://www.parl.gc.ca/parlinfo/Compilations/HouseOfCommons/MemberByPostalCode.aspx?Menu=HOC

I emailed them first and couple days later followed up by calling them. They sent me a authorization form that I had to fill and send back.

All the best

thanks for your quick reply Cival. Greatly appreciated!!! I called them and they are saying that still 6 months is not completed for me and so they can't help me at this time. I need to wait till April for them to make a request on my behalf.

When did ND received your Passport? Did you contact the ND office through E-CAS???

Thanks again for your help.

One more thing Cival, if you have an interview then the best way to prepare for it is through applying for GCM notes. You can apply for it using this link and it costs $5. Hope this helps you!

no problem.
When I called they asked me if six months is up and i simply stated that I applied in September. (Maybe I got lucky).
ND received my wife's passport on Nov 19.

is there any drawbacks to applying for this? Have you done this?
or can someone else who has done this let me know? Do I email them on the one provided on that link or?

Unfortunately information on that page hasn't been updated for over 2 years, besides what the date says at the bottom. Processing time by regions are available on cic's main site and for India its 6 months from the time nd receives the file. Judging from the recent updates in the forum it seems the pace has been picked up at nd office.
Good luck to all

I had this doubt in the beginning
see ..
Sponsored Spouses, Partners, and Children

Processing times for these applications are calculated from the date on which the application is accepted by Case Processing Centre - Mississauga.

No sumant, I have never noticed our address disappear.
Our ecas has showed medicals received, but it has been that way ever since it changed to application received.
