I have one VERY IMPORTANT question. I (sponsor) am currently outside of Canada (living in India with my husband (applicant) on entry visa, like tourist visa). I put the date of my return to Canada for March 30, 2012. Am I obligated to return on the date that I put in application, because at the time I was not sure. If the sponsor returns later than this date, can it a cause a problem. We want to return to Canada together and hope the process will not take very long. Can this create a problem in our application when it is sent to applicant's visa office in New Delhi? The sponsor has to prove their return to Canada if they are currently outside.
I also read somewhere that they will call the applicant for interview to provide proof for the return of sponsor and if you dont have enough proof for that, they can still reject your application.
thanx and best of luck :)

Hello all,

My wife got her Passport request today. I got my sponsorship approval on Jan 31 2011. Please update the excel sheet.

Any idea when they would return the passport (with stamping)??? Time frame???

Thanks

What is this excel sheet that everyone talks about? How can I get access to it?

its spread sheet showing the times that each applicant applied, got approval, file transfer to visa office and visa issue. to add yourself in the spreadsheet, send your details to spreadsheet operator. in january forum, send message to alf+jlf and if you want to add yourself in new delhi spreadsheet, send your details to vengat.
goodluck!

Hi all

I have a quick question, yesterday I heard from some person that nowadays it takes 2 years to get the PR card after landing, is it true? Could anyone who recently had or applied for the pR Card, please confirm this.

Thank you. What does "last communication days" mean? Why does it say 5 for me?

the spreadsheet should show you the formula as well...

last communication is the days from your last communication with CIC.
In your case, today() - application submitted date
If you get approved, it will be today() - approved date
if you get PPR, today() - PPR date
if you get DM, it will be freezed...DM Day - PPr Day (which basicaly shows how long it took for you to get DM from your PPR)

Congrats!! I'm so excited for you! What I like to do is look at the spreadsheets for people who applied in September, October, and November. It varies in dates but it looks like its taking 30-50 days. We can never be sure!

In that case, you can live as long as you want considering you have valid visiter visa for india.
CHC doesn't like sponsor to leave canada only if he/she is PR.
So nothing to worry about.
