Never send your passport with someone. Bite the bullet and go get it done. Staying in India is not at all a problem. India is very affordable you see :P

I totally agree.. It is illegal to send PP w/o being stamped across countries. The only special case is when you have a request letter from the embassy or an approved letter being stamped by a VO of the citizen's country

I just saw in October thread that a person got his Visa in just 8 days after PPR :o :o :o

Their VOs original processing times are in 17 months !!!!

Toooo good for him !

Things like these make me believe in miracles again ???

Wow!!! That's probably the first time I have heard a person got visa so damn fast after PPR. I don't know when ND VO would perform miracles like that. I'm praying to see similar sort of miracles happen to people on this thread.

Hi Jatt_punjabi,

If you didn't submit phone bills with application then it's a good idea to send them now and explain that in your cover letter. You can use any reliable courier service such as DHL, blue dart and make sure to attach their PPR letter.

Hi Jatt_punjabi,
I completely agree with what newdelhi2011 is saying. Send all the additional supporting docs that you currently have and explain through a cover letter and send it with your PPR letter and ofcourse the passport. I believe it's always better to send the information and let them decide if they want to use it or not.

Also JP,
I am same as you.
I went, I married and I came back. 15 Days.

Not for immigration bull*censored word*, but my wife sent me by courier something we call in south "podi" (it is a powder made of dal) and also thier custom of "pant, shirt" for pongal (Sankranthi)

Yesterday I went to walmart, and by chance I saw they put up my wife av chocalat on sale. I just grabbed the box behind the display 30 (gross wt 6 kgs) pieces in one single company big box and packed it and sent through Air Parcel. $204.

Exchange gifts, and keep proof.

There might be surely a question in the interview (if you get one)

.."Has your husband sent anything from abroad..???""
..."Have you sent anything from here..???..."

These CIC people are like incapable or "not-bold-enough-to-decide" school teachers.
You tell them "teacher..teacher..I have stomach pain and I want to go home.."
they wont let you go easily. Ask 1000 questions, and see 1000 things..
And stil some times say "go back and sit in the bench.."
or say "go and appeal to the school doctor..he will decide.."

Because the teacher has doubt that you are faking it.

Some children just run through the gate and they are disciplined harshly
some children (old) "setup" false parents, uncles to come and take them (happens in college)

I will tell you. I would not have sent those choclates if she did not send the stuff from India
It is not that I dont lover her. But because I am lazy, tied up, and saving money for tickets.

But then she sent me stuff..right..
I am sure sending some thing from either the husband or wife makes 1000 times happines.

PS: From the post office I called her to give her complete postal address.
She asked me "...are you sending chocolates bangaram?...I said "no no no.." I am filling up a credit card form in the "mall.." they are asking for my Indian Address.."

want to surprise her, hope the IPS does not "eat it"

Hi sivathegreat,
I think it's better to send the add. docs and let them decide if they want to use it or not. I understand what you are saying. Nobody knows what ND VO considers as solid proof; but sometimes I think we should take a chance.

Anyways, hope your wife would be pleasantly surprised and very happy to see the gift. I recently surprised my wife by going to Hyd (in Dec 2011) but never told her I was coming. She was shocked when she saw me sitting in the hall and couldn't believe for a few seconds that it was me sitting there. Well, I was happy I did that.

oh my friend its alarming condition for you

send all the possible proof that they are asking to you

you will definitely have a list of documents to send with your PPR

and if you dont submit then on what basis you can prove your ongoing relation
also they need some thing to believe you as proofs

pleaseeeeeeee save yourself from such miserable condition

@ ajy457
I understand what you say. It is an individual preference.
I am not suggesting but I am just letting out my frusties..
Let them decide, ok

You from Hyderabad? My wife is from Hyderabad too. I am from Chennai.

Thanks for your wishes. I also thought of surprising like that. Then I have decided not too. It is a big thing to show in India without information. It also creates a "future false expectation"

In my case it is not impossibble but I have to stretch. (My wed anni is on 11th March)
So even If I go, I will inform her.

This is only my specific case, my wife wont take such a big surprise easily. She may break down. (I dont know I am just assuming)

@shivathegreat
i agree with you
also you also need to inform CHC ND

about your travels i guess

Hey guys,

Where online do I change my full address where ND can send me letters? And will it delay the process If I change?

I dont think you can change it online !

You need an send an email to ND I guess.

Someone mentioned on here that I can update it online,
I can send them an email, but it takes like 26 days to reply or something!

Anyone has anyother idea??
