just sent the pics loose enclosed in a letter & explained what was going on and a small summary behind the pic as well..

Could you tell us how many pics you sent initially of the ceremony and reception? Basically trying to decide how many I should send.

Thanks.

If you haven't sent your application yet, consider sending as many pictures as you can !

I sent about 400 pics chronologically arranged in separate envelopes with descriptions and dates, starting from engagement, spouse meeting my parents' house, my parents meeting my spouse's house, some trips that they did together, my spouse meeting my sister, pics of us together when we met in airport, when we did our wedding shopping, before the wedding pics, reception pics, actual ceremonial pics, after the wedding ceremony pics, honeymoon pics in all different locations, family get together pics after wedding, etc...

I also wrote descriptions behind all the pictures wherever necessary to explain who is in the pic.

Its good to add the pictures of your colleges and office representatives from both sides as they would have taken picture with you together in your wedding.

400 pics :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

OMG !!! Its way too much...

I think you can send important pics which includes all possible traditions of your marriage, reception or ring ceremony and some pics of honeymoon trip or outing. You can send family pics if you have kids.

We sent around 60 pics and with that too, I thought that I was sending a lot. :) :)

I sent roughly 50-60 too and I didn't write any description on the back either. I sorted them under different category and put them in different small envelops.

To someone who has already done this:

When sending them your passport, do you Include the original letter they send to you about the passport request?
Also- how do you change your address?

Yes. You should definitely attach their PPR letter along with passport so the guy who opens would know what to do. It also has your UCI and file number with barcode which makes their life easier and easier we make their life, faster they would be able to process.
It's not that big of a deal if someone forget to attach that letter as long as they sent some kind of cover letter with their file number and UCI.

You can send them a letter as well as do CSE online to change your address. Some people suggest to do both so I guess try both to make sure they have your right address.

I did the same..separated and put 'em in 3-4 different small envelops... We dint have much photos other than our marriage/ring ceremony/honeymoon trip anyways as it was very short time after marriage when we applied for the sponsorship. :)

Is there a separate excel for ND applicants ?

There is one in this thread but it's not thoroughly maintained. May be we should revive that file. :-[

Btwn I could not resist myself from making a CSE today to know the status of our application. So let us see how it goes.

I hope it does not delay our case. :(

@ Kuku

Oh how I adore you, for always coming up with ways to find out what ND is up to, since it benefits me as well, hahahahaha!

Let me know the response to your CSE, if any :p

Good Luck! ;)

maple

Aha !!! you putting a gun on ma shoulder !!! :-\ :-\

But no worries I ll update you once I hear something.. may be next 2-3 weeks more... :) :)

Although it's a good idea to request them for update but CHC-ND usually gives a general response when file is within 6 months period. I wouldn't take their response too seriously unless they give specific details.

Buddy, I believe rent receipts are good enough. It shows that you are renting a place and paying the rent properly on a regular basis. CIC don't need to know what kind of place you are renting as long as they have rental proofs in the form of receipts.

Halo Ajay,

Thanks for the info bro.....lit bit worried cos receipt just has amount of rent and months thats it nothing else...so was worried......hope it works...thanks again
