I guess you are talking about the IELTS? There was another member on this forum who had the same issue. Her name's Aman, she's in Canada now. Her passport was stuck at ND and she had the IELTS coming up. But she was not allowed to write it without the passport. Any which way, I would suggest you do not ask for your passport back as this would definitely cause delays and confusion. Your wife could try extending the date of the exam or just let it be, in my opinion it's not worth the hassle. But then again, its your call and I might be wrong.

All the best kuku :)

Thanks for the suggestion

The only reason, why I was thinking to request pp back was the long delay By ND office to stamp it.. I see many people waiting here for 3-4 months or even more after submitting the passport..so in that case it might extend up to Feb - March ( Please do not tell this to my wife..she will kill me :D :D)

A friend of mine is also thinking to request it back...He recently got a job in the USA on h1 Visa and he wants to send her wife for H4 visa ( spouse visa) stamping which according to him is one day process. So that when she gets a PR visa, she will come to the USA first and then land to Canada and return to the USA. They will stay there for a couple of years and then come back to Canada :) :)

Well, its the done thing by ND to keep the passport for so many months *sigh*. Anyways, you might want to do a bit more research on this before sending out a CSE :)

worst thing is, ND office do not even respond properly on phone. The same lady picks up the call every time my wife calls them...and gives the same stupid answer.

It all depends on the importance of that exam in her career. If it is something that she has been preparing from long time and it is something only done in India then go for it for sure. But if she can take the same exam without any trouble in Canada then it would be wise to wait a bit unless she wants to give some other exam that has pre-request for this exam.

My address is also disappeared...but it happend today only.

Yug,

Don't worry, hopefully you will hear some good news soon.
