Hi Guys,

I am June 2011 applicant and our application still shows In Process. I am going to India to meet my wife as it has been long time. I am thinking of taking some more photos of we living together, traveling together during this time. Also taking my phone records etc. is it wise to submit extra docs (though they never asked it) ? Will it delay the process ?

Thanks

If your state shows in process from long time then may be they are working on background check. Have your MP contact them to get an update on file. If the initial review is done and they are working on BC, sending additional relationship docs wouldn't be necessary.
Can you please share your time line?

Thanks for the reply guys.

Time line

App Filed: June 8 2011
Miss. Approval: July 21 2011
File Transfer : Aug 2 2011
Passport Req: Aug 19 2011
In Process: Oct 18 2011.

Since then no news. No interview calls or doc request. It is still not 6 months up for me. So i did nt ask local MP or get CAIPS notes.

I was thinking if they are doubting our relationship. Confused :(

Suggestions please ...

Between my spouse doesnt have travel history. So why this massively slow BC, if any ?

Thanks,
RF

Happy Holidays

Hi guys
From bottom of my heart I want to thank you guys for coming together supporting us and each other. even though we have never met one another it was very comforting to know that we all are going through the same experience and agonies. And you guys encouraged us to hang in there and be patient. Lot of people wouldn't understand what a couple has to go through during this experience but each and everyone of you have experienced it and your support was much appreciated.

my wife and I want to wish you all happy holidays and wish this holiday season brings each one of you closer to your loved ones and the new year brings you lots of happiness and good health.
I'll be flying out in 4 hours to bring my wife back and just wanted to thank you guys for your support. If you need any help, feel free to PM me and I'll try to help you out any way I can

@ROGER

I think you should involve your MP .. I know it has not been 6 months after your file was transferred to ND. But its been 6 months after you applied to CPC M. I would involve MP for sure. Holding someone's pp for 4 months doesn't make any sense to me.

@singhson

Happy holidays to you too

Now when a discussion about holding pp has come up , I would like to ask you guys, if one can request ND office to return passport for few days.

My wife needs it for one of the exam she will be taking. Exam center won't let her in without pp as an Id.

Hello Guys!!!

@gwalyat

thanks

So I will email them thorugh "CSE" and ask for the passport.. I know it is going to delay the process..

If you have a conformation of exam date then attach that detail as well. Just wondering if she can give that exam later after coming to Canada?
I think it takes good 2 weeks for them to put your PP back in file. And that would explain why my address is vanished right now.

No no. I am saying that it roughly takes 2 weeks for them to process your PP to put it in your file (i guess) So if you send PP again, your file will be bit delayed. (may be)

@ yug and everyone else who's medical is expiring soon:

I realised that the VISA issued is single entry and is valid only until the validity of your medical. So they will ask to redo the medical if its expiring soon. I thought the Visa was for one year, however, everybody gets different validity oif Visa, when I linked them together all of them have the validity for one year from the date the medical was done.

I realize it is not a great news for many people, but I just want you guys to mentally prepare for this.

I hope everyone gets the VISA soon.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! Enjoy!! :) :) :)

I guess you are talking about the IELTS? There was another member on this forum who had the same issue. Her name's Aman, she's in Canada now. Her passport was stuck at ND and she had the IELTS coming up. But she was not allowed to write it without the passport. Any which way, I would suggest you do not ask for your passport back as this would definitely cause delays and confusion. Your wife could try extending the date of the exam or just let it be, in my opinion it's not worth the hassle. But then again, its your call and I might be wrong.

All the best kuku :)
