Hi Hambzik,

My wife didn't get the passport yet. I guess we will be getting it next week. Ecas status has changed to DM today morning only. Her address wasn't showing up for a day and came back with address and DM today morning.

Anyways I applied on April 18th and ppr was done on Jun 10th and we didn't had any interview and it took almost 7 months now.

Hoping to see immigrant visa on her passport.

ALL THE BEST for other guys in this forum.

Regards
Krishna
COngrates Buddy !

Hi all senior forum members here,

I received my CAIPS report today but no activity is mentioned in the caips report. Its only says,

PAPER FILE SENT TO PA FILE BF'D TO: FRR ON 18-09-2011

It also mentions

FILE READY FOR REVIEW

but I understand no action has been done on my file.

Can you please suggest if any action has taken place on my file or when any action is going to take place. I am yet to receive the MR though the RPRF is received by NDVO and this is mentioned in the CAIPS Notes.
Kindly share your complete CAIPS notes which you have received, so that I can comment accordingly please !

Your CAIPS notes states your file has sent to storage area and it will be reviewed on 18 Sep 2011. BTW what about background and medical decision ?

Regards and wishes,

I was wondering by obtaining the CAIPS, will it impact the processing time such as cause in delay. Also, who are these people, how do they have access to CIC database. Is this a government department to make more money. Let me know thanks in advance.

The question fow which I did not find answer for on CAIPS or immigration canada website, What is CAIPS, are they a private organisation or Govt body? Why will Immigration Canada provide our very private information to them? or is it just like authorizing our Lawer who can represent us to CIC.

Also, if they can provide information (our File) to CAIPS, a third party, why can't we request the same from Immigration Canada? They should provide us the file directly even if we have to pay any fee, we will.

What you guys think about this? or do you have more information about this?

I have these questions, since I never dealt with CAIPS or I had no informtion about this.

Cheers!

Good Luck to all.

Regards and wishes,

Thanks for replying to me. No background checks and medical decision mentioned in the caips. What the guys from caips.ca written in my mail is the following:

Dear Sir

Thank you very much for requesting your CAIPS notes through CAIPS FileCheck. We received your file from CIC today and I enclose a copy for you in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format.

I am sorry to see that your file is still awaiting paper screening, and hope that you hear some good news from CIC very soon!

best wishes

Shall I assume that my file is still in cold storage? No use in checking the ecas daily. What do you say. But my concern is that they received the RPRF and its mentioned in the CAIPS file. Worried if that amount has gone down the drain now.

Hello Buddy,

There are many ways to enquire about your application from CHC. Most commonly used ones are CSE, Email, fax & through your local MP in Canada. Enquiries made through these modes DOES NOT effect/delay processing of application as CHC is not obliged to answer anything before normal processing time. And if they are answering these queries then it's just your sheer luck & moreover answers to these are very generic & never detailed.

Now, there are few other types of enquires that CHC has to honor under any circumstances because they fall under the privacy act of Canada and they are CAIPS/FOSS/GCMS notes. Ordering any of these takes a LONG time to get i.e minimum 30 days and can really slow down your application as someone has to fetch your file from the officer's desk from the queue, copy/scan it & then forward to the applicant by following the complete procedure laid down by government.

FYI : Your wrong Buddy, Canadian Government doesn't make money in such business i.e CAIPS...etc Coz they only charge $5 only !
