thank you for replying but I'm still confused. I'm sponsering my wife so according to them they will not release the information to me. So what should I do? I just want to know why they haven't sent my wifes passport back to her and should I tell her to email them.

Dude, THEY WONT TALK TO YOU. PERIOD.

I sent 2 CSE's but it was from my wife's email address and it looked like SHE is the one who is emailing ND.

THe applicant should send the EMAIL and not the sponsor.
Ask her to send the same email again, now they will reply to her.

I just read the rest of what you wrote on your first reply. thanks man for replying. When I gave the application in I didnt put her email on the application (she didnt have one).

So could she just make one and send them a enquiry or do they only reply to emails listed on the application

If she's not that great of sending cse you go ahead and creat one on her name and send cse,but when ever you send email notify your wife what ever you write in email.
in this case if newdelhi contact your wife so wouldnt surprise,
thats exactly wat i did in my case.
fprince will explain you the rest listen to him,his comments are really helpfull.

before there is my in laws address but now when it came up back it shows my house address....
i m so CONFUSED how can they change address without asking me n we didn't even tell them to change....

my wife's address showed up today,i asked fprince he said just ignore it.

ACTUALLY they changed my mailing address, thats why m bit confused...i didn't even tell them to change it!!!!!!

In that case you might not need a PCC, but have u travelled to india in the past?
regardless its better to do one now as its only abt $25 and they used to issue it within 15 days in Canada.

True, it's just $25, but what trips me out is that Houston Indian embassy website, it tells me that I have to provide my passport! I'm still waiting for my passport to come through from them, it has been 6months already, so as soon as I get my passport, they want me to send it BACK to them for a clearance!!!! Last time, they lost my passport, which is why I'm going through all this trouble with them now. I can't risk sending that office my passport again. I rather fly to Houston and do this.

well as far as i know if ur pp is a new pp which is made in last few weeks then the high commission doesnt need to do any enquiry again, as enquiry is just done by them so it doesnt make sense but not sure abt us call them n confirm, they can issue u on same day i think
