Hello !

Once our file reaches CHC ND its firstly reviewed by the VO concerned during initial review if any extra documents are required they will request from us and in case if they are not satisfied how we have represented our case file than VO calls us for interview.

So once initially review is done, Interview waived off or attended, the next step jumps to final review, i.e Call for medicals & review by the Dr, PR Fee confirmation, PCC checking, BC than final stage stamping of visa.

It depends of the VO & can request PPR during initial review or final review and in your case everything is done just stamping of visa.

So buddy once your PP reaches CHC ND it takes minimum 4 days to sort out and to be placed in your file, Kindly dont forget to enclose PPR xerox and a covering letter and duly mention your file number & UCI on the top of inside cover, so that it will directly reaches VO hands ?

Well you can expect your PP and shining visa within two weeks or before that after submission of PP, wishing you good luck buddy :-)

Hey Bortowin,
whats BC? I mean what do they check and how do they check? I am from Nepal, never been to India, so is my wife. Canadian Co-operation office is the only office they have in Nepal, but it does not deal with immigration services. Its through this co-operation office that CHC ND sends our passports and letters; every tuesdays. There was nothing this tuesday as well.

MM-Ali,
what does your sponsor's status say in ecas? are there two lines in there?

Forgot to write my timeline

App to MssSauga - 18 Apr
Approved - 18 may
File transfered - 31 May
PPR - 8 June
PP sent - 16 June
started processing and medicals received - 30 June

Nothing after that. They are holding PP for almost 3 months now.

One of my friends had applied in December and his status shows: File transfer 31 Jan, started processing, medical received and decision made - 31 March. thats DONE in 2 months @ND. actually that included one extra letter from ND asking to clarify one DOB as well. They found out about that lost letter when she inquired over the phone! I called ND yesterday and they say they do not do anything over the phone.. I am so confused.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

Under Canada’s immigration legislation, all immigrant applications are subject to statutory requirements, including medical and background checks. These requirements must be satisfied before an applicant may be granted permanent resident status. In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application. As these investigations are conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time. We are therefore unable to give an exact time frame in which we expect to conclude the verifications on this case.

For now, there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the checks are completed the next steps in this application will be determined. Until then, we will not be able to provide any additional information on this case.

Delays in the processing of visa applications are always disappointing to all concerned, but rest assured that all efforts are being made to ensure efficient and expeditious processing of all visa applications.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.
