Hey, thanks for posting this. I believe this has been of great help to me. When my wife got a phone call asking to submit passport they did not ask for her old passports. So she had mailed her current passport to them. But after reading your post I asked to her to mail her old passports aswell. I believe this will save us from delay. Thanks again and I wish you the best.thecoolguysam said:Hello everyone,
I have got a letter from embassy asking for my old passport which i not sent which was expired.
The date of birth was mentioned incorrect in my old passport and the address mentioned in that old passport was not mentioned while filing application for PR.
Now I had made an affidavit stating that the old passport had incorrect date of birth and when passport was renewed the date of birth was corrected and its stamped by notary public.
What should I do about the address which was mentioned in my old passport which I have not mentioned while filing the application?
They have also asked for proof of my travel history. I have never been outside India so what should I say?
What do you guys have to say about it? Please assist.......... thanks in advance!
Did u explain why you didn't have a honey moon? u need to have a valid reason not to have gone on one. In my opinion, all their concerned abt is that you lived as husband and wife after the marrige. That is ofcourse hard to prove. Don't worry..they won't reject you. Just collect all what you can. I'm sure u hv the phone bills now, the missing ones and the ones for calls made after u send the application. Did u both travel anywhere? boarding passes....hotel bookings....even emails from friends talking abt ur marriage/ relationship would do. Also, if u were at the wedding after marruge, send pics of those...!Good luck!Confused2011 said:Hi, Everyone,
I'm really confused, and I'm hoping to find some answers. I have submitted application to sponsor my husband from India on March 9, 2011 and New Delhi received it on April 18/2011. My husband got a letter saying they want him to send his passport on June 14/2011 and also provide phone bills and photos of our outings after marriage. The thing is I had submitted my phone bills but it was missing 2 months of call logs because I was using a different phone to call my husband and hadn't received the phone bill for that phone when i had submitted my application. I had also submitted photos of our outings. The only thing is we didn't have a honeymoon because there were family weddings that we had to attend after our marriage. We did however go out after our engagement and these are the pictures that i had sent. I found couple of new ones and sent these along with the old one that I had submitted. Any thoughts on how the ND IO is going to be looking at this case?

I'm really scared they might reject our file because of my mistake. I didn't want to lie and say we had a honeymoon and submit our pre-wedding outings pictures, but now they asked for more proof because it seems like our relationship is not genuine. I really don't know what to do, and I'm really confused. Please shed some light on this situation. It will be really helpful!
Thanks!
They say you could send additional proof at any time during the process. You can probably put a note saying that you are sending additional proof that you couldn't collect in 4 days, and to attach it to the file. I don't think it'll do any harm. Don't panic! If they are not satisfied they'll call u for an interview! So relax!!!! It's all going to be good!Confused2011 said:Thank you for your reponse brin. The thing is my husband got the letter on June 14th and he had to send everything before June 18. So he didn't really have that much time to collect everything. so, here's what he send. My phone bills from January (which is when i returned to canada) to March. I only had phone bills untill here. I use comwave, and just realized today that I can access the whole phone bill after we submitted the requested items. Also, we sent in pictures of us kissing each other on our chicks and other picutres we had taken which i had already submitted. What do you think is going to happen? i'm really scared and i can't even think straight.

Continuously keep pressing random numbers..... Until system confuses itself and say “Please wait let me get some real person to help you”
It worked for me on so many automated systems

Usually with ND, when this happens an interview is announced after 2 weeks.Confused2011 said:Thank you, i guess we'll wait and see what happens. I've read a lot of cases. and most of the times those who were called for an interview were for those who were divorced, the spouse (wife) is much older than husband., etc... I'm hoping after looking at the pictures of us kissing they are satisfied. Normally, they don't request PP and ask to send addtional proof, if they were going to have an interview they would've done so already, is this correct?
If its the not going on a honeymoon part that you're worried about.. its not a big deal at all. We never went on one either.. but we did submit photos of places that we went to after the wedding (just not an actual get away). There were no issues with the file process.Confused2011 said:Hi, Everyone,

Not really. It's typical of ND to ask for the passport very early in the process and additional doc req follows after the PPR.Confused2011 said:Thank you, i guess we'll wait and see what happens. Also, we had a member who's husband was called for an interview a mnth bk may be. The only issue that was obvious was that she left India soon after her wedding. So, there u go, either u had red flag or not...it's up to u to prove u r a genuine couple.
Ofcourse, they will look at the case in whole. How long you've known, your background..the kind of relationship u had before marriage etc. It's up to u how u want to deal with it. But if it'll help u relax, then there is no harm in sending proof that u didn't already sumbit!
