Hello everyone ....
I have been reading this thread for about a month .... its very good thread as everyone shares their processing over here ...
i had never posted anything yet because there was no change in my application processing from the day I joined this forum ...
I am applicant and my wife is sponsor.
E-cas status changed from 'Application Received' to 'In Process' yesterday and changed to 'Decision Made' today ....
Following is my timeline:
Application received at CHC Mississauga - February 8, 2011
Started processing - March 3, 2011
Decision Made - March 8, 2011
Application Received at CHC New Delhi - March 14, 2011
Passport Request (Received by Post) - March 29, 2011
Passport delivered - 1 April 2011
Documents Requested - 06 Apr 2011
Decision made - May 7, 2011
Do I take it as positive ?

Hi harbir...thanks for sharing ur time line! It is positive as they would not deny visa without calling for an interview....soo Congratulations!!!!
If it's ok.could u pls share what additional docs they asked frm u? .the trend is if they req add docs they call for an interview...but looks like they waived ur interview!

Thanx ! They just asked for providing the travel documents of wife as boarding passes, photocopies of the pages of her passport showing entry to Canada ....

i don't know whats the need was to verify my marriage when i have sent my baby's certificate along....... they say they have validated the marriage in jan.......what were they doing in last 3 months?hw much time do u think it takes to check medical & backgrnd?

We are all in the same boat, especially you, me and charmz..the last 3 2010 applicants.
They never have a timeframe for BC, that is the issue.
Stay positive, this week will be our week
May 23rd is a long weekend, i hope ND does issue a lot of visa before that.

Medical is already checked, they have the final results I'm sure that's how it works.

And background check (BC) is something no one can tell you about... as according to them it is done by EX Agency, so they will always tell us they have no time frame for that, and IMO they don't need the time they take for the whole process.....

Hey I did not know about this, can you please tell me how long you waited after New Delhi received your FILE before you sent the CSE? If you look at my time line (on the LEFT) you can see They received my File on April 05 and no PPR yet, I'm thinking if I should use my wife's email account to send a CSE, (keep in mind my wife does NOT know how to WRITE in English, so how do I go about it? if I write they willl know) and if you can tell me what I should include in the CSE, as of today it is OVER 1 month since they've had the file with them, and the status on eCAS still shows Application Received.

Also what specifically should I be asking them in the CSE, and what should I tell them.

Anyhelp in this subject would be great, I would hate to do the CSE because this is something I've never thought of, but If I don't hear anything by tomorrow (Saturday) I will see about CSE, or maybe wait until 15th of May (this really gives 10 days to ND + 30 days for IPS)

I went through what you are going through...i will refresh what i did
first CSE - After 3 months in ND, got a generic reply with File #
second CSE - After 4 months in ND, got a reply in 20 days to send her PP.

In your case, i would wait for at least 2 months in Delhi before you send a CSE..
Most of the times they do not reply to a CSE Unless it passe their standard wait time..this is what the website says

Your application has exceeded normal processing times. We will not respond to your enquiry if the application is within normal processing times

You will need to be more patient for now..i know its hard, but it can come anytime..and it will.

And yes, CSE has to be sent by the applicant, not sure if they track any IP address..You can try and might get a reply..nothing is set in stone
In your case you will be doing the same thing i did in the first CSE, ask for your wife's File # and PPR status....
they wont reply to you but to the applicant..has to come from her..if she does not know english you can say in the email that u typed it for her and sent on her behalf..and the reply WILL have to go to her email addy.

My payment receipt received by CIC - M on 16th April, but my wife haven't received a confirmation letter till now.

Ben, not sure but if you read the last 10 pages of this thread there is info...someone did it very recently i think it was meateater...it was very recent..

avibis...do you know when your passport was delivered to CHC ND, our timeline is pretty close so hopefully we'll get Visa around the same time...i'm hoping to have my eCAS status changed to Decision Made by May 18 atleast, maybe i'm a bit optimistic but why not hope for the best.

RPRF processing time is usually 20-25 days and then 5-15 days transit time for the post for confirmation letter depending upon your location.

I had also paid RPRF afterwards and for more details you can check my last few posts in this forum.

u will get confirmation letter after one month & at the say time they send memo to new delhi.....
