whats difference between quick and arranged marriage...if marriage is arranged its quick only...

Quick - did not see the person b4 marriage, went to india and got married..no meeting prior to marriage.
depends on the VO if he wants to raise a flag here.

Since i checked arranged marriage on the documents i can share my info even though i do not even have a PPR
Wait time since delhi received file - 3 months & 1 week

My marriage was quick.

Friends introduced us.

Talked on phone for 6 months.

She tried to visit me on a temporyary resident visa but was denied.

So we decided to get married, knowing how much @#$##@ it is
trying to get a visa

Met about a week before getting married in India.

Then had a wonderful honeymoon in India for a month.

PS I brought my mom along, so I hoped this has helped for a speedy
application. We'll have a second one in canada for my relatives.

Beside our biological clocks are ticking.

I'm 45 and she is 33.


PS Her first mariage only lasted 21 days. Apparently he was already
married in Germany.

Then the application will only be quick if there is lots of supporting documents.
I sent about 100 pages - 150 photos - total 1kg.

34 pages of goverments forms + 6 additional on seperate pages - not enough space on form
40 pages of identitiy documents - ID card, birth certificate, school marks, diplomas
20 pages of bank statement showing financial support and phone bills


I would have sent the divorce papers but there was a clerical error on the court documents.

I sent the application hoping that I sent enough info, but they still wanted it

Excellent documentation, this is what you need to do...send them loads and loads of documentation to prove you really mean it...good job dr dave.

mine was arranged marriage. we met around 20 days b4 our marriage and within 20 days we got married. but one fact is we applied for PR after around 2.3 years of our marriage and we were togather in India for around 2 years.

I sent less than 50 pages all togather and only around 12-14 pictures all togather. I did not even send my educational certificates because they never asked for it however we both are well educated and worked for reputed organisations. I did not send many proofs about our marriage and marriage relationship.

After joining this forum and getting info from all of you, I now regret that I might have sent much much more information to CIC.

Anyways till now it is going fairly well and lets see how it goes in coming days............hoping for the best

I agree, you should have sent more info. However, you do have 2.3 years of marriage which
is a big plus. I sure things will go smoothly.

Yes, living together for 2 years makes your case so so simple ! it should be straight forward.
drdave 10 inches? did that guy pack everything into the application like computer,cellphone lol that is crazy !

it was a lady and she sent copies of 2 to 3 emails from the last 3-4 years!

To take the effects of the postal system out of the equation, the only firm number I could use
was the sponsor approval or file transfer date. These dates are fairly close. Besides it is better
to think this way 29 days +- 10 days

75% chance between theses dates

Earliest Mar 28th
Latest April 17th

Good news is .......... sooon!!!!

Then 25% of the other people were receiving PPR from 40-80 days

Earliest April 17
Latest May 27

Seems to be applications are processed in 2 different ways.
fast 69 days +- 20 days 2 to 3 months 60% of the cases

This number jived on what I saw on the cic website before they changed it.

slow 132 days about 4 months or more.

It was interesting there was a gap between 90-100 days - fluke maybe - no idea why
this occured
