i guess that all depends up on the visa officer....i have seen where simple cases have been called for an interview and red flag cases got their visa's in like 2 months....


and on top of everything....it is the luck that plays a huge role

Lama ... Ur sponsrship was approved on 9th Feb or March? They will update it once file reached Delhi.. You should seeing it in a couple of days for sure....

Yeah i have a read a lot about red flags..usually they are divorce, kids custody papers, marriage without proper communication, huge age difference etc..
But, having a red flag does not really have to delay your case. Each case is different.
I know a few who had red flags but still had their files fast enough..its just which VO handles you file.

I would disagree with you. All these issues have a tendency to make the process longer. The time it takes to
send documents and arrange for interviews. My analysis would indicate that for 70% of the people who had
to go to an interview or send additional docs took an average of 2 months longer. Only 30% of these cases,
got done in the normal time frame 50 - 90 days from sponsor approval.

132 days - 69 days = 63 days ~ 2 months

so I'm guessing it will take about

Jan 4, 2011 + 100 days = Apr 14, 2011

Jan 4, 2011 +132 days = May 16, 2011 <--- Most likely around this time

Jan 4, 2011 + 164 days = Jun 17, 2011

HAHA yes, mine is more complicated i guess
* It is my first marriage and so is for my wife
* We are from the same city and same mother tounge
* Age no issue
* Both are christians
* she has never travelled outside India
* and no one has kids
* all doucmentation was provided

I wonder how in your analysis i came up to be a complicated case, just cos my PPR is/was/maybe lost or my file is sitting somewhere can't make my case complicated.
I appreciate the fact that you are doing your analysis, but that is not how CHC ND analyse cases..
Simple cases can be lost and forgotten and complicated cases can be done in a few months...it all depends on your luck, visa officer and India post.
I have been on this forum for more than 3 months now and have read so many cases, math is not a factor in deciding a case.

The timeline I quoted was just based on your fact that the PPR has
taken more than > 45 days. Of course a lost file or PPR is a complication.
But it is frustrating that 20% of the cases seem to take way to long.

Agreed my friend..everyone has their own theroy. But my only wish is that NO ONE ends up in the 20% of delayed cases like a few i have known here including me.
But if it happens, we have to be prepared. Nothings wrong, its just that you were not that lucky as the other 80%
To be honest with you ND can not issue visa's within 4 months and say they need 6-8 months, there are gonna be a very few unlucky members who will be delayed.
And asking PPR right away is a new trend from 2011, it can change anytime..they might go back to their normal way where you go app rec-in process-ppr-visa, we just can not predict when and how they make changes.
Mine is for sure a file which was opened and forgotten ( cos it is not even 1% complicated ) but if the VO thinks it is 100% complicated then so it is...what do we do

True some things are out of control. I know one person couldn't fly to
the United States because he had the same name as a terrorist on the
no fly list. Karma

But a passport request is a good thing, which is the reason why everybody
looks for them. 62% of the people will have their visa in 2 months.

Just for the Passport Request, Police Clearance Certificate, and
Payment of the Permanent Resident Fees. Seems to a standard letter
to send right away.

I'm noticing that Delhi is asking for more documents about 1-2 weeks
after the PPR.

11 days later we got a second letter requesting for my wife's
divorce papers from her first marriage.

thanks for quick response. actually my wife's police clearance expired when I filed application (around four months passed when I filed). So I am wondering whether they will ask for new pcc....Ur case was also same?

Didn't a lot of members say that PCC in india is valid for 1 year? i remember having this discussion a week or before
