Guys I need your input. My file was transfered to ND on OCT 1 2010, but under permanent Residence Application Status that application received does not say anything about being inprocess. Should I be worried.

Thanks

Well mail takes about 7 days to reach my husband in Punjab. But I am so tired of ND. Now they want my original divorce petition. So they are making a big deal out of that now. I was stupid and married at 21, I am 30 now. the marriage lasted 1 year because we were kids. I didn't sponsor him and he wasnt even indian actually. Then we just parted ways and didn't talk to each other for another 4. Then in 2005, having some life experience behind me now (graduation university etc etc and having some money) I contacted him and filed for our divorce ourselves. We havent seen each other again since the day we signed.

But now, argh, this office is gonna make a huge deal out of it...

Hi Nylalisa;

Did they sent you a letter again after PPR to request the original divorce petition ? or does it states in the same letter as PPR ?

Why didn't CIC Mississauga asked for that document at the time of sponsorship approval and why ND is asking that from you? Are you going to send the document to your husband now or directly to ND ?

Thanks
Panda

@ Panda,

My husband got a second letter after the PPR, requesting these documents. With the original application I sent my divorce certificate, so I have no idea why ND wants this at all. It just causes delays obviously. I know they are working on the assumption that divorced woman can't find husbands normally in India. Like we are still stuck in the dark ages, what they have to realize is that India is evolving like the rest of the world. Further to that, considering I was only 21 and realized I would wreck my life and the guys... I got out. I knew nothing, I didn't finish school, i didn't want kids and he did, it was a huge problem. Career was important then... now 9 years later obviously I have grown up and changed alot. I know what I want in my life and who i want. I am not a social piriya.

I am gonna order the documents and just send them directly to ND. That will be faster... I have a copy of the letter they sent, so I will just include it and off it will go. I am also gonna send them a letter with it explaining my mind set back then and what has changed since then. Mainly maturing....

Sorry for the rant guys.. I am just starting to get frustrated because I am not having a good feeling about how this is all gonna turn out in the end.

@ Nylalisa

Just don't worry and send the requested documents, the good thing about this is that at least ND is communicating with you and asking for what they need to continue the processing, so think positive and I have a feeling your case should be smooth after you send the documents to ND.

It looks like ND is working faster and communicating at a faster pace then they usually use to.

Good luck;

Hi!Nylalisa

I am not sure if all the members in the list of archived timelines are updating the current status :

Here are the few members that seems to be inactive for sometime :

Bhupinder78: PPR:Dec 31- Still waiting for VISA
Akrk: PPR: Sep 24- still waiting for VISA
Coffee11: PPR:Dec20 - Still waiting for VISA
Sim85: PPR: Aug 25 -still waiting for VISA
vinjovi555 : PPR: Sep 19- still waiting for VISA

It's a request to the above members to please do advise about the latest status of your application and what does ECAS say for you guys.
Also guys if you can share the timelines of your friends or relatives that are in process or have already recently got their Visa from New Delhi Embassy under Family class ( Spouse ) that would be helpful to learn the trend.

Thanks;
Panda
