Hey guys don't sweat it my wifes ppr was dated oct05 but she got it on oct30th , and she literally lives 8 hrs from the Chc , they have a habit of keeping those ppr letters on file , I dunno why probably for some auspicious day to post them or hopefully someone gets the time to post them , but anyway look at the date it got stamped at ND hers was stamped on the 26th so it actually took 4 days to get there after being typed 20 days earlier so my guess is just as good as urs .

hmm.. then we gotta check that date.

Coffee11,

Yes you can it totally depends on the case processing officer they can request additional documents or even ask for the interview if they need to get any clarifications.

I see. But my medical is about to expire on 13th Feb so am just wondering if they will not issue the visa by than I might have to redo it? right?

yes you will have to

@ Sanyrog,

If you got an email saying only the rep gets info, it sounds like your file is open, as remember in one of my previous posting, I got a similar reply, and then shortly after that my wife got a letter. So sounds good. keep your fingers crossed. If they did not look or open your file, they would not know that only the rep will get your file info.

@Coffee11

Congrats, these days it looks like they are not putting stickers, my wife just got a letter, with file name starting with F, and a bunch of ZERO's. you will get all the pics and personal documents when you receive your PP.

Hi Guys,

Please add me in

Application received at CIC - 17th Nov
Decision Made - 13th December

I have a question. Status on ecas page still shows decision made and a letter has been sent on 13th december. I have not yet received the letter and I am in Toronto. Getting worried now - it shouldn't take that long from CIC Mississauga to Toronto.

@ Bhupinder - Did you receive the letter? I see that your app date is same as mine. Also, when does the status change on ecas or does it stay decision made for sponsorship application. Just wondering if they will show file transferred status there?

Any help is appreciated.

Thx

I did get the letter on the same day e-cas status changed to Decision made..this was Dec 17th..btw..status on e-cas is still the same..no change..

Do you guys have an idea how much time does it takes for status to change or ND to open the file..

@ missingyou

Thank, I think we are sailing in the same boat. Do you have any idea how much time they take to return the PP with stamp?

Thanks Missing you, hoping the same!

Thanks Bhupinder. I will call CIC and enquire about the missing letter.

congrats coffee11 and waiting4u!!

others - could u respond to my earlier query? how long should i expect to wait for visa after sending in PP? is it 1, 2 or 3 months - what's most realistic?

@sonia2905
Official Version - Every case is different and no one can say for sure how long it would take
Realistic - As someone pointed out couple of weeks ago, CIC ND has an SLA for completing 80% of case in 6 month. I am counting on that.
Mine is a straight forward case, still its gonna take at least 6 months, i think.

thanks for the response akrk. we have similar timelines for filing the application (ours was on aug 6), but our PPR came through only on dec 9th. guess you are right - i should look at a total of 6 months timeframe.

hello there I was reading on another thread where someone was told if they can buy an airline ticket right away and send them the itinerary, they would courier the passport before the medical would expire . So I think they do try and workout things before the medicals expire. I guess all in all depends on the VO
