Finally guys the wait is over, I've got great news as well ...my husband got his VISA & passport today !!! Yaaayaayaaaaa Oooyaa ;D

I am sure you all know how it feels to be waiting this crazy longggg and finally hearing the most wonderful awesome news ever. ;D But, it's so true, you really don't know how long this process can really take, it's emotionally draining and painful but guys have faith and patience and everyone will get the good news soon My husband and I have waited since July 2011, for him this process was much harder and it was tough...real tough, but it happened and now he's a happy guy

Congrats to everyone who's got their VISA's abad.vs , vir_ajay , pandapenda , borntowin and CanadiansWife and my apologies to anyone else whom I've missed.

Wow congrats!!!!! and thanks for the shout out It's been almost a year since you have applied, I'm glad it all finally went through for you.

That's great! Congrats!!!! But how did you receive it by hand? Did you just go to the embassy to get it? Or did they call you to pick it up?

They will ask her questions about her relationship with you (how you met, how long have u known each other, was the son at the wedding, etc...) questions about the relationship from the application.

They may ask about why she doesn't have custody of her son, and if you know about the son and her second marriage.

Just make sure she answers HONESTLY and the best way! and tell her to be confident- as long as she follows that- you guys have nothing to worry about- no matter what they ask!! Just give truthful answers. All the best to you guys!

Those CAIPS notes must have beeb confusing for you and thrown you off. Good thing you got your approval right after! After 8 months, you guys needed it!

I really think that a case is processed depending of the visa officer you get. I thought my case would take time, since I'm in the US- but it only took 3 months After reaching Delhi. So the complexity of the case is also depended on which visa officer is handling your case.

Anyway- I'm still waiting for my passport with the visa, to arrive at my grandma's house in Delhi. Can you let me know when your husband gets his?

Hey CanadiansWife thanks for the congrats

My husband actually received a phone call from the CHC ND office and they requested him to come and pickup the passport/Visa personally. I think it takes upto 2 weeks to receive the passport back via mail. I'm sure you'll receive your passport via mail in the coming days
