Hey C-Wife!!!
Why are you having a mans photo????

lol! After all this time, now you ask? I have some theories for that,
a.) You are too busy with getting your wife's visa done that u never noticed
b). Simply never cared to ask before
c). You thought I was a guy
d). You forgot
(I sound like you Siva!!!) :P

We all talked about this before. My husband kind of resembles Freddie Prince Jr. (the guy in the pic). I think he is cute, so I rather have a guys pic up, than another girl :)

Yup, I was going to mail MP last week but got "in process".. so thought of waiting for couple weeks before mailing..
Also, the 6 month mark is calculated from when the application is received at ND, if you want to contact MP..
but ya.. the general average timeline is 6 months overall processing time, from what we see in this forum..

There have been many theories that it is counted from CIC-M and others say CIC-ND, it's a debate

Hey BaliBali, I just realized that your case is processed fairly quick.... quicker than some on here. Would u say yours was a straight case?

Hey Maha, after seeing everyone receiving DM's I was also seriously thinking of sending off an inquiry to ND...but, I also have not hit my 6 months yet so I have decided to wait...the way I read it, it's from the date when New Delhi receives our application.

Hey guys!

My husband got his PPR request today!!! Now I just read the e-mail and I have a question...it says that he needs to provide Police Clearance for any country he has been in for more than 6 months and I realize that everyone gets the same e-mail too. My husband used to be in Canada since 2008 on a work permit and since his last work permit expired last year, we decided not to extend it and get married in India. Do I require a Police Clearance from RCMP too in this case? We had already applied for one 6 weeks back just in case but we haven't received a response back from them yet. Please help!

Thanks!

@ Maha see this

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

Your application for a permanent resident visa was approved on February 29, 2012. The passport(s) and related documents will be sent to you by registered mail shortly. It generally takes eight to ten days for registered mail to reach its destination.

Please refer to one of the following websites for details on the arrival procedures in Canada:

For applicants in the Economic Class: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/arriving.asp

For applicants in the Family Class (spouses and dependent children): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-arriving.asp

For applicants in the Family Class (other relatives): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/relatives-arriving.asp

@ Siva and Lovlyhyd

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
