Hello... I have been a passive member of this forum for 3 months now.. You guys are really really helpful!
I need some advice.. My timeline started on July 14th when application was received in Canada.. File was sent to Delhi end of September..
PPR request letter on Nov 14th..
My concern is since then my ecas update still says application received, meds received..
I believe my 6 month overall timeline got over yesterday...
Please guide me.. Just relax and wait or should I call/ mail on update?

I'm probably in the same position as you .. I applied for my husband but we got refused, we won adr in June and started the application again in July and the file went straight to dehli .. So far it's "application received" aug 2 "started processing" nov 9 and Medicals received .. No PPR or anyother information since then .. We emailed them because the email address that we put on the application was incorrect (written .com instead of .in) and they never emailed back ... So I have no clue what to do .. I havent seen him since nov 2010 and I'm finally getting enough vacation to go see him next month. Any advice from the senior members on what we should do? Oh and I've asked the local mp to do an inquiry, were just filing out the paper work there office needs now..

I guess 6 months time is from the file received at ND and not from file submited

Refused- aug 31 2010
Got refusal letter - oct 2010
Appealed right away - oct 13 2010
ADR - June 14 2011 and won!
Got letter of approval - July 14 2011
Application received ND - aug 2 2011
Started processing nov 2011
Medicals were done and received nov 2011
Nothing since then </3
Anything I'm missing let me know .. How's your going?

@ Shamsia - in ur timeline it says u got the PPR by letter in September & by phone in November.
u didnt receive the letter etc ?
i ask this cos if they started processing in Sept, thats 4 months to visa issuance & if in Nov then its 2 months for visa issuance.
the 4 months is kinda scary. My wife gonna go bonkers

Yup, I had a screw-up in our case. Our file was transferred to ND in September but we never recieved anything till November. On Nov 14th, I got a call from the VO asking me the reason for not sending my passport. I said I never received any PPR letter. The VO said it was sent out by mail in September itself. Anyways, he said, consider this as a PPR and send your passport and RPRF. Exactly 2 months from then, I got decision made. So all is not lost with ND yet

P.S I hope none of you get screw-ups like this. Really hurts

Doc's Request.: 04-10-2011 redo documents
started processing : 17-11-2011( ecas update)
Med's Request: 14-11-2011
Med's Done....: 18-11-2011
Passport Req..: 03-12-2011 in ND with foreign travel details

I think you will be soon receiving PPR

dont worry ND request PP at the starting or at the end of process

@ Kuku-We got our PPR in Aug itself. But after that no news.

Does anybody know how to get in touch with your local MP regarding contacting the ND office ?

I am 15 days short of 6 months at ND office. We filed app in June 8 2011.

No doc Req/No foreign travel.

Now we are slowly getting too worried.

Thanks! Did you order the GCMS notes? I suggest you order them immediately. And yes, your 6 months are up, you should contact your MP too. Meanwhile send a CSE, it takes them around 28 days to reply. Hope you hear some news soon! All the best

There are two steps in processing family sponsorship applications. In order to know the total approximate time it may take for your application to be processed, ADD the time in step 1 to the time in step 2 (the two steps are consecutive).

actually that happened with our family class application when my bro sponsored us ( my parents and me) 8 years back. We sent our passports along with PCC even before receiving PPR. It was not deliberate attempt though..
Surprisingly we received it back with Visa within 1 month !!!!
