Hello Friends,

I have some good news to share, the CIC website says "decision made" and am thrilled. It took 43 days after the PPR was sent to ND. No additional documents were asked when PPR was sent to us. I still feel 43 days is a bit too long and some like Deepak have waited for more than 3 months. I strongly feel that they should do all the background checks before they ask us our PP. That way, it leaves us a window to meet our respective spouses in a third country (Say UK, Maldives, etc) while ND does the 'processing'. I used to log into this forum to check others status and compare the time lines with mine. Over time, my research on the average time taken to receive PPR/CIC update AFTER the PPR is received by ND is 39.3 days (Data from this forum only, ND embassy). So, if you are still waiting after 40 days, its time to take action (Like MP, Emails to ND asking for status, local MP and others). Thank you again for all the support and guidance, really appreciate that.

@Guptash
My case proves that spousal foreign tours/stays are irrelevant and do not delay the processing time, so this is good news!
Cheers, Congrats to Deepak!

Perfect. And for Europe etc she clearly din need any PCs according to the CHC rule. I have lived in the States for over 6 years (undergrad, grad school+ work) and i provided the FBI Police Clearance Cert as well.

I am so happy for you, :-) really! Only recently, we were discussing this issue and your Visa proves that International Travel is not a hurdle at all.
