Your husband does get an Immigration File Number in the letter which requests his PP and other supporting documents if you havent submitted already. However, when you login with your Client Id which was originally given to you, you should see all the updates on E-Cas as well. So basically the sponsor is never kept out of loop. You will know any and every development on the Case. Under the permanent resident application status where you see "Not Available" right now, you shall see "In Process" and eventually "Decision Made" as well.sonia2905 said:@ guptash - on ecas, under the 'sponsorship application status', it shows 'decision made'. when i click on decision made, it states "We received your application to sponsor on August 6, 2010. We sent you a letter on September 21, 2010 about the decision on your application."
Under the 'permanent residence application status', it shows 'not available'.
my question is, does my husband (the sponsored applicant), get a separate client id number to check the status of his application once it has reached New Delhi? and how are you informed of the passport request? is a letter sent to the sponsored applicant in india?
Yeah, he recieves a letter on his address in India where they shall request his PP, the Landing fee if not paid already, and his Police Clearance Certificate for whichever country he has stayed for more than 6 months. I guess its pretty much the same letter to everyone. Ofcourse, with different File Numbers.
