Dear fellow applicants,

Does anyone know if updated PCC's are issued after re-medicals?, I got information update request as well as re-medicals last month but no request for updated PCC.My last PCC was sent in Jan 2010.Hope this is not a calculated attempt to elongate PPR.

Hello, it is a calculated strategy to delay you. Go get the PCC and send it off even if they don't need it as it might save you time or cost you more time. The money you will spend on PCC is not equal to the time delays it can cost you.

Any recent update from Accra? , pls share.

Thanks.

how we met the first time?
how we communicated?
if we were related?
if we know about each others past?
if we know our blood group?
if it was an arranged marriage
and some other personal questions ( its specifically abt our relationship, i don't think it will be relevant to you).
He said the overall experience was intensed and long. During the interview they asked him to step out quite a number of times and later called him back inside. The overall interview took 7hrs 3omins includiing waiting time. All the best!!!

geez, 7 hours??!!

thanks for the info. sounds helpful. i'm confident in my hubby now :)

I wonder why Accra is so slow. Even Manila that handles more applications is faster.
God will help us.

Congratulations to those who have got their visas.

i'm posting this a little late but hubby's interview was successful. he was given his visa the same day as his interview...aug 31 :D

Just wanted to post this on here to encourage everyone going through the Accra VO.
It seems that this VO is getting "better" recently. Our application was processed in 4 months and 3 weeks. We had prayed to complete the process without an interview due to resulting delays but that didnt happen. My hubby got called for an interview which he just attended last week but he got his visa the same day.

During the process, reading this forum about Accra was not fun cos there were some very discouraging timelines and experiences. However, I think this office is getting better, we can stay positive and hopefully we can have more positive experiences to share.

:)

Hey Folks. Here's my summary for my spousal application:

applied Aug 5
got confirmation of approval to sponsor Oct 11

Any ideas what the current waiting time is, after the first step (confirmation of ability to sponsor) ?

Secondly, I had no idea that spouses had to attend interviews. I thought one was simply invited to pick the visa.

Can anyone share what kind of questions were asked?

Congrats, your application should now be in Ghana. All things been equal, the visa should be ready within the next 3 months.

Hi Laajman,
I applied for my spouse on July 8, Sept 9, i was approved as a sponsor, on Oct 15, it said medical results received, hubby's interview is end of November :) If all goes well he should be in canada before Dec! This is very exciting!
From other people's experience, it seems like a lot of people get called for interviews. My spouse was told to bring his police clearance with him to the interview. At first i thought they would request that first and check it before calling him for an interview. I guess everyone's case is different. Good luck!
