Yes they have all said it.i believe it's a good sign.im so happy it's not more additional infos on your relationship. Do all u have to do to get those documents and send them asap.all is well my dear.

Thank you
Please how do I send the information to them ? Do I DHl it or upload them online?

No there is a form and fingerprint sheet that he can get on the fbi website. He will have to get fingerprinted at the local police station and send the two documents to the fbig via DHL or fedex. Then they will do it and send it to him or send it to a representative in the US or Canada. It takes 3 months. There is no way to expedite it....trust me I tried.

Send everything via DHL, they need originals. Are they asking for the FBI clearance or just proof that you've filed for it, because black diamond is right it takes a very long time to get it. Did your husband send one in with your initial application? You see he needs a police check for anywhere he has lived for more than 6 months.

You will have to write a letter requesting an extension explaining why it is necessary.

As a side note, tomorrow is interview day. Pray for me oooooooo

I got my FBI Clearance earlier this year. You need to go to the FBI website and print out a fingerprint form and credit card payment form. He can finger print himself at home. Just do many copies of the finger print even as much as ten so that at least one of the forms is well printed. This is because it takes up to 3 months to get to your turn and you don't want to be told the forms were invalid after 3 months. He should send the documents via courier to the address on their website and just wait it out unfortunately. He will be required to provide a US address to send the report to as they do not mail outside the US. You can then ask your US contact to send to AVO if they require the original copies. I hope it doesn't take a long time for him to get it. In the mean time, you can submit other documents to AVO and a letter explaining that you have applied for the FBI Clearance and maybe evidence of the applicatin. @peg204

Yes he did background check and we sent it with our application but now that they are asking for FBI clearance. I’m not sure the difference!! Are both not the same thing ?

Should I send them the letter now requesting an extension ? Or wait till I do the FBI clearance?

What kind of background check did he do? As far as I know, if you have been in the USA for more than 6 months you must submit a FBI clearence and that's the o my type. @Ugoswife @BlackDiamond is that right? I think you should file for it and send in the proof of that and a letter along with those other documents.

Hi @peg204. Everyone is right about the FBI process. I guess u guys missed it during ur application cos it's clearly stated FBI is needed as long as US is concerned. Mine took 8 weeks to process and it was $12.

My advice will be to get it done and then send an evidence and the other things they requested all together. Write a detailed note explaining the situation i.e. the FBI processing time/time they gave u to sumbit all. U never can tell it might be waived or worst case they wait till u get it. I wouldn't ask for extension myself.

All the best dear!
