Many of us here have expired medicals as well. AVO seems to be predominantly working on August/September applications at the moment and they will contact you when they get to your application.

AVO would not just contact cos ur medical expired. You will hear from them when they get to that stage in ur application and hopefully that should be soon.

Don't worry much about that, ur main prayers should be on u hearing from them regarding ur app generally not medical specifically.

That's what the Filipinos did. Now theirs just takes 3 months...

ok..Aug/Sep 2016 Applicants it's going to start coming....

Up front medical in Aug 2016
Application was received by CIC Mississauga on the 8th Sep 2016...
Medical received and ECAS 3 lines in October ...
Sponsor approval and transferred to Ghana 14th Oct 2016 ....
in between these times I applied for GCMS notes 3-4 times Nov 2016,Feb 2017, May 2017,July 2017
I mailed the immigration minister in March 2017 ( during the operation let's flood the ministers office with email and calls) I love this house..
his office replied in May 2017.....
I mailed My MP Aug 24 2017
I mailed the immigration minister Aug 29 2017
Asked to redo medical on the 5th Sep 2017
re did medical 6th Sep 2017..
Mailed MP on the 14th Sep 2017 again with reference to previous mail
mailed the immigration minister 14th Sep 2017 again...with reference to previous mail
PPR Sep 15th 2017..............

Visa issued Oct 2nd 2017

PUM Oct 5th 2017

Picked up Oct 12th 2017 (DHL)

keep flooding your MP and immigration minister office with mails...(EVERYONE SHOULD EMAIL the Minister's office continuously)
(by the time they receive so many emails from Ghana AVO applicants, they will be caused to effect a change)
flood Accra with more documents....
the idea is to keep your application on the dominant radar.....
It's my prayer that Applications still in the process and others about to submit won't stay this long..IJN

I submitted my application last year july. I did not do medicals cos of my skepticism about cic. I dont trust them when it comes to going by their timelines. If you do medicals and get expired you have no option than to do another. I dont want to throw away my money without any positive results. 16 months have elapsed no response. If i did upfront medicals that would have gone to thin air.

Hi Cosey, I know how hard it is, God is your strength I am also a July 2016 applicant. A request for interview was sent to me 1st of October and I had the interview in Accra on the 10th... I also met a guy there who is a July 2016 applicant and both of us got our passport request... hang in there your time is near.

did you have to travel from Nigeria to Accra for the interview and do you know why an interview was scheduled for you?

Yes I did have to travel and I do not know why I was scheduled for an interview maybe to clarify their doubts on something... don't know....

I believe interviews are being scheduled for late 2016 apps because it's easier to process them. Particularly ones that they've already "made a decision on" but just need a couple more documents, it's easier to call people in and have them bring these documents than ask them to mail them (give them thirty days and re look at their file). Because before on this forum interviews were rare (hence why I was freaking out when we got called for one) but it seems now they are way more common and are being used to flush out the backlog. In hindsight I'm happy we had an interview because it made the process so much faster near the end. Remember they still have a committement to process 2016 apps by the end of this year. And this is how they are doing it. It seems either you get called for an interview or you're given PPR right away (those with medicals still valid). It's been. Lnthansince they have asked anyone to submit extra documents via mail.

@becos I have been following this thread quietly . I had to encourage @Cosey today....this is to tell you how helpful you have been especially the infos you let out when your husband went for interview. God bless you plenty.

I agree with Becos ,because my husband had his interview yesterday and they didn't really ask much about our marriage just a few guestions about my son and family and a few documents that they didn't

I think interview always come as a last resort to clear any possible doubt. Yes it might seem faster than the back and forth submission of additional documents but I don't think CIC would take that route just to hasten the process.

This is my opinion and I could be wrong. At the end of the day all these are mere speculations.
