@ waitinginTo ...and others....I've never ordered for GCMS notes before, but I think its now necessary .How do I go about it.

HI JOSH717,
  • Have your spouse fill out this form, scan and email to you: Consent for an Access to Information and Personal Information Request (IMM 5744)
  • Then go to cic site and follow the steps on "How to make a request under the Access to Information Act"
  • Enter all the info

  • Be sure to to use the option that requires a $5 fee: "Access to information Act"
  • Attach the form your spouse sent to you.

  • Then pay your $5 online and submit
.

@house has anyone had mycic or ecas updated on a day other than Tuesday? I have read on these forums that it's only Tuesdays, I've been checking more frequently that that and am wondering if I should limit it once a week?

Hi guys i want to know if a dependent child can travel to canda without spouseapplicant on permant residence visa ..spouse will come later

I would imagine so as an unaccompanied minor. However, I'm not sure if that is a good idea to have the child face immigration alone when they land. Find out if they will let you go and meet them in the immigration office when s/he arrives, because I don't think they are even legally allowed to question a minor without a legal custodian present.

my answer would be yes. members of the house can also give their perspective . All the best

I agree with TeamCMOR, I don't think they explicitly requested the original copy of the Birth Certificate, so uploading the copied version should suffice. . Maybe I'm not reading your letter correctly, but I would hesitate to even send them the original version and send a copy as unless they asked for the original. From the application process, only the medical and police certificate have to be original.

I could be wrong though as I recall someone mentioning them holding on to his child's original forms recently, but I would have to check if they asked for the original in that case.

Hey guys , when cic sends the ppr, do they email the applicant as well? Or they just send it to ur home address...thank you

Just wanted to thank everyone for all your kind words...it means alot...as far as the talk re complaining...you have to be on this office! Keep up the good work! they send it to the sponsor and the applicant. ;) alot of the correspondence is by done by email. make sure you check your junk or spam mail at times too. Email is very efficient and they try to save paper lol. I don't know an instance where a letter was sent to the home address however I could be wrong.

Hi Andy,

Yes, a dependant child can travel to canada alone on a permanent residence visa. I was sponsored to canada at the age of 9. I travelled on my own. A flight attendant made sure I was ok the whole trip. At the stop over, there was a special room where all other children travelling alone were placed. I remember once reaching canada, they asked of my parents names. My parents were in a waiting room which had a glass that separated them from myself and the immigration officer. I was asked if I knew them. And with my answers, and my little brothers reaction upon seeing me made the officers assured.... your daughter will be fine. How old is she?

Team cmor...your words are so wonderful..it brought tears to my eyes...I hope my testimoney can help someone...never ever give up..fight for your spouse...there are times this process can even break down your marriage...never ever give up..be strong and have faith..nobody can take it from you...the road is long..the waiting is hard...its not for the weak of heart but love and faith trumps all!! ...waiting in to..I used to log in ecas everyday..my status has yet to change...same with my cic..everything the same as a month ago...in the end when we got ppr request...I emailed the office a very polite email saying I know they are busy but its past 30 days..and could they plz update within 5 mins they emailed me the ppr

Jay...in your letter did it mention they would make a decision in 30 days? For us they made us wait it out until the 35th day...others got fast decisions the day avo got their info...guess it depends on the officer maybe

Butterfly girl you are right..we need to be peaceful..the office there is very busy...however everytime they touch your file and work on it they are required to update it into the gcms notes...from those notes you will know everytime your file is worked on...its a requirement on their side to document what they do and why..it also protects them this way...mps cant do alot unless your file is past their listed process time...I hope the new system in place gives quicker process time...if you need help with your interview questions plz feel free to message me...

Yes,the ether said 30days but I believe the birth certificate is all they are waiting for.i will send them the colour copy on Monday whiles my wife will be sending them the original too through Dhl.for us,we decided if they don't return the original,e will go get another copy.we don't want to risk sending in only photocopy when the original is what they meant.i need them to send the ppr fast enough so I don't have to repeat Medicals.if it wasn't that document,am sure, ppr will have been sent and since they needed to make a decision on the YES/NO 2yrs condition,I needed to have the certificate to confirm what I said on the form about my second daughter
