Guys I just want to let all of you know that my husband finally got his email this morning to say he should submit his visa for issue (January 3rd) what a day to start off the New Year. He can finally join the kids and I. Just to let you know my timeline:

Application Received June 22, 2016
Application forwarded to Acca: August 24, 2016
Request for evidence of emails and Text (30 day deadline) November 18
Sent all documents to Accra on December 12th, 2016
January 3, 2016: Email saying visa is ready for issue

It has roughly only taken less than 5 months. For those that know me, it took me 8 years to get my Permanent Residence and my husband now only 5 months. God has been merciful. Good luck to all you guys. Please do not despair - it will happen for you!

Cheers from a Zimbabwean married to a Nigerian

Congratulations and all the best!!!

Hi Uchemama,
Congrats for your husband and everyone who has recently received ppr. I don't know why AVO is sleeping on my wife's case. She is an April applicant and AVO started processing the application in June 2016. I have emailed AVO and they are not responding. Just requested the gcms notes and hopefully I will be able to figure out what is happening. Please pray for me.

Not sure you saw my response...I was asking if you yourself were sponsored by a previous spouse before you submitted this new application? How long have you been married and do you have children?

You husband should expect mail anytime ..but according to the news coming in here, atleast from 4 months up..not that I'm sure it gonna be 4 months up after transfer... But according to the news reaching us daily ..he get to start expecting it daily as AVO is more fast now than any other time trying to clear the backlogs and also to be able to maintain the 12 months given to them last month December 2k16.

AVO has provoked somebody...lol. But I believe this too afterall few years ago this application took just 3-4months but look at we now.

I can only imagine the feeling of being apart for so long when I feel the way I do even though the longest i've been apart from my spouse is just 3months, feels like yrs.
It is well...God won't let us see or do evil.

Our application only took 4 months and 1 week. Good luck to you guys. Just always make sure you package your application well well

Timo, Timo,
Amen,
Thank you sir...
