The speed other VO are processing theirs makes me wonder. I pray for speed here in Accra office.

Hi Everyone,

I have previously posted our struggle to bring our adopted daughter to Canada - then she was 5...now she is almost 7 years old and our battle is still ongoing.

Last year they denied our application, we filed an appeal and when the court said they would hear the case and set a date, the office in Accra took the file back to "reconsider it" rather than go through the court (it is clear they have no grounds). They then sat with it for another 6 months with no contact, during which time we stepped up our efforts and with our lawyer prepared to file for a writ of mandamus. Once notified of the intent to file for the writ, they have now requested our attendance at an interview in Accra - us (adoptive parents), biological parents (who have not had contact with each other in years, father who has never seen the child, mother who has seen her twice in 5 years), and our daughter. They all live in Nigeria and we live in Canada.

Our interview is on Dec 13 - just asking for lots of prayers and support that this is the end of the long battle. It may be a wonderful Christmas, or not...

Hey friends I finally land on the 25th, I didn't have any issue with immigration, they just ask me only two questions, and the questions were how long have I been in Jamaica and what kind of food did I carry. That was it. And I got my Social Insurance Number (SIN) right away at the very moment.
My wife is take crazy good care of me.lol but the wether is cold like crazy.
All the best to those waiting for their PPR.

We can't see your timeline to confirmed how long your application is at AVO, but I'm sure they will get the medical as soon as possible, and if your application is up to 7months up at AVO ..expect ppr bro, congratulations ahead, please update your timeline its helps others to have hope and keep on enduring

HI Everyone on this forum. I have a scenario and wish to get ideas from what you think.
I am Cameroonian by birth and presently in Canada. While visiting family in Nigeria with my wife who is also Cameroonian, we decided to get marry there since I was not going to visit Cameroon during that visit. I filed to sponsor my wife who is also a Cameroonian and the application was sent instead to Accra Ghana instead of dhakar Senegal which handles application from Cameroon. I just wanted to get your opinion on the reason you think cic sent the application to Accra instead of Senegal. I am just thinking maybe because my marriage certificate is from Nigeria and Ghana is in charge of Nigeria application. Also do you think my wife's ppr will come from Accra or they will forward it to Senegal to continue processing it since she is also a Cameroonian and residents in Cameroonian. Anyone with ideas is welcome
Just being curious

Hi Timosky,
Pls can you expanciate more on what you mean by application on AVO? is it 7 months on total including Sponsorship review? Or just 7 months after your file has been transferred to Accra? Thanks.

Hi Spaceman, I believe that's a mistake from CIC office, you can write them to send your file to the appropriate office of you prefer your application to be processed in Senegal. They will forward it to the right Visa office if you wrote to them. I hope this helps.
