3.Medical results have been received.

Walesme it is very normal. I applied in Nov 2015 and until now medicals is not even showing received on ECAS. You can check from my timeline. Not even a letter like A,B or C for 10 months now. So you just relax ok like Mandie will say..... PATIENT.

What is this police check for?

All principal applicants must get one. Either you can do it upfront (although it is only valid for 6 months) or CIC will request you do one and send it in. We have done two already, just because we didn't time it out properly before we sent our application in, we may still get asked to do a third, if it expires before they look at it.

Its on CIC website for any country you have stay up to 6months,you need need to get a police check from that country ,I didn't realized that until now,so I went to department of foreign affairs today,I just realized that they don't do thumb print like Nigeria, that is where my question comes from.

I think you're referring to police report certificate, you won't do a thumb print at the foreign affairs office.

Good morning folks,
@walesme all you are asking is already in your GCMS note, all you need now is order it there you will find your answers to the questions.
God bless

Thanks a lot Aroms, thanks for telling me that I don't need to do thumb print in foreign affairs.

Got SA last night! 35 days since app arrived, 6 days since AOR1! It's off to Accra!! :D :D :D

Congrats on the first step!

Thanks guys, it has ended in praise. congracts becos for joining the queue at accra. if anyone on the group has lived in any country for up to six months please make sure you get a police report for that country so you dont add extra waiting time to the already lengthy time.

the landing process was simple and stress free. when asked each time what i was coming to Canada for, i said i was making my first landing to join my spouse and other straight forward questions followed and i was done in few mins. please remember to do a list of what you are bringing with you and estimate how much in Canadian dollars, you will need that at customs. you can read up on this thread to understand whats its all about http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/b4-form-guide-for-entering-canada-t291843.0.html . it is called the PERSONAL EFFECTS ACCOUNTING DOCUMENT.

if i remember more i will let you know.
