Ok but let me make the write up brief.
ghana police clearance is 100ghc (one hundred) for citizens, 1200ghc(one thousand two hundred)for non citizens and non-residents( citizens who have not lived in Ghana for up to 3months stretch before applying for d police clearance).
Also, it is advisable to wait until you get the email from embassy requesting the documents,before you send it to them.
Thirdly, considering the fact that they will only give you 15days to submit your passport,passport photo,police clearance and forms(ie. If interview stage was waived for u) you can play smart by doing you ghana police clearance 6-7months after ur application reached canada. Then keep the police clearance with u, when u get the email, u send all the documents together.
In my case I was able to gather all the documents and send them in on the 10th day(15days deadline).

I did Naija police clearance again and Ghana police clearance and met the deadline at the 10th day. Aim sure u can, but if u can't, u can do ghanas own and hold it wit u,ie. If ur application has reached 6-7 month

Nice one, my only problem now is the China police clearance, it took longer to get what I got for the application, more than two months from Shanghai, and it has been 6 months already now, but on Chinese police clearance they stated only the dates the check was done for instance, from 2007/01/20 to 2015/12/05, and they didnt state the validity date. I am just confused now as when I should apply for a new one, and it cost a lot of money and come provinces could even tell you they cant give you for no reason. Only Shanghai can issue a police clearance to cover your entire duration in China if you have live in different cities.

DM me if you are in Ghana. Official fee is 50 regular and ghs 100 for express. If you dont have 6-8 weeks to spare you may have to consider your options.. Most people I know who went through the regular route got it in 8-12weeks; 6weeks at best
