Welcome..when did you apply? April? did you have an interview? did they ask for extra docs?omobee said:hello everyone, i have been folowing this thread since last year April 2014. I applied for my husband permanent resident. ECas says decision made and the official will be contacting you soon for the past 3 weeks now... does anyone have any similar experience?
Don't be too scared even though DM could be both positive and negative.if there were no red flags and many questions during the processing time as to whether ur marriage is genuine or requesting for interview and etc then keep in expectation of his passport request.all the bestomobee said:hello everyone, i have been folowing this thread since last year April 2014. Still waiting. I'm sure the long weekend contributed to the delays
Hopefully before the end of this week.
Hey MsLisaN and other Quebec applicants.MsLisaN said:Yes Lamour, i hope they send it this week.
Wow, Thank God for that. Some good news indeed!lamour said:Hey MsLisaN and other Quebec applicants.
Just entered now from work.
CSQ waiting for me in the mail box.
Dated April 1st. Phew!!!!! This stage is out the way.
I went back to read your journey. This is a lot to deal with and I hope the silence is a goodnews. Do not lose hope, for that's what CIC wishes for. Continue to be strong and I'm sure you will succeed sooner or later.Ailec said:Hi Everyone
I haven't been on here for a while, but it is wonderful to see that the thread is still going and there are still positive results coming out of Accra. I just wanted to put our an update just in case anyone else is struggling with adoption and citizenship through this office.
Our story continues to be a long one, and our file status is not being updated on the cic website so it is frustrating. You can see our story on page 164 of this thread, but this is what has happened since then -
Dec 2, 2014 we were given 60 days to provide two documents, one that proved that the adoption law we adopted under in Nigeria was actually signed into law, and two - a copy of the law.
Jan 19, 2014 we sent the required documents, plus additional supporting documents fully certified etc with our immigration consultants letter, legal references etc. Both couriers arrived same day and were signed forbut we do not yet have "confirmation of arrival" from the office
Jan 30 was the official due date
In late February our immigration consultant sent an enquiry to the program manager since we had not heard anything - no response
In March our immigration consultant sent an enquiry to national headquarters - still no response so
on March 24 we met with our local MP who sent an enquiry the same day. It is now 2 weeks later and we still do not have a response regarding our file.
We are only trying to find out what is happening, it has been 11 months since Accra received part 2, and over two months since they said they would make a decision based on the final paperwork submitted. Our daughter has since turned 5!
I guess we will see what happens next since we also submitted an ATIP which is due on the 12th.
Sigh. I guess I am just looking for some positive support.
It states that Accra has been notified of the CSQ issuance but we should make it available upon request should CIC ask for a copy.MsLisaN said:Wow, Thank God for that. Some good news indeed!
Do you need to send the CSQ to your spouse or to Ghana?
OK. Great!lamour said:It states that Accra has been notified of the CSQ issuance but we should make it available upon request should CIC ask for a copy.
Congrats!!! Progress is goodlamour said:Hey MsLisaN and other Quebec applicants.

I'm sorry to hear that but hang in there. They have no grounds to refuse or reject. This is a humanitarian caseAilec said:Hi Everyone
