@Chenny, what i advice you like others have done is to be calm and gather everything you have like recent picture, hotel receipt, western union reciept etc. If you have a property such us land or a house in both names that would help. Also let religious leaders to sworn i afidavit that your marriage is genuine.Finally, write a letter to explain them every details of your relationship and why you guys deserve to be together. Don't write to much but write something that will convince the officer that you really meant business. If you need anything you can inbox me and i will help you by adding something to the writing. Hope everything works out positively!

Yes, you were right monalizy, now they are saying to my mp that they sent me a letter but that wasn't true. I am glad i kept all the email they sent that my file is in queues for review. Now i understand the way the accra office work if you give them too much they will find 1 thing and use it against you. Lesson learnt, if they don't ask don't send them that was the lesson i have learnt for my wife's sponsorship.

even my they said a " letter" not email which i don't get it. I think they just don't went me to be able to appeal whatever they state in the letter that why they didn't send anything and they are saying they did. Now i am waiting for them to send the copy to my mp and if they couldn't proof that they send then i will use that against them like they always do to us. the immigration law says once you make a final dicision regarding a file you ought to communicate the decision to the sponsor and if not then you have denied the sponsor the right to appeal.

Accra has angered me more than ever. I didn't believe it could go on like this.

My MPs office asked mid April if there was any update, they said background checks were still in process. A month later, there was another check in and Accra replied a letter was sent mid February. We never received anything, post or email. I think they're liars. A month earlier, they didn't mention an outstanding response from us, two months overdue at that point.
This is revolting and dirty. I want to puke.

...and I must add: in January they sent the medical redo request and were more efficient than ever before. I swear they're upset I won my appeal and they're now being totally unfounded in their request of us. What they're asking isn't even possible. I'm sick of being violated.

Daisyd5 - you are so right. I apologize, I didn't see the previous post by Aowa.

I think they are guessing on the 3-4 months just because there have been a few of us with such short timelines. You know this forum has been such a help to so many of us - but the one thing that it fails at (which is fine) is knowing each persons circumstances surrounding their application (because that is personal to each of us) - which can unfortunately change the timeline for each person significantly. So it is best to really not base one's own situation upon others - but continue to pray and hope for the best for your own and pull from the helpful advise of what to submit in the application (if so lucky to find this forum before doing so).

We hired a consultant who did all our papers and put together our file. I know it's expensive but its the best money I've spent. When I read this forum soo many people do not submit all docs, or sufficient proof and I understand them because its soo much! But I thank God that we hired our consultante! It's probably the best advise I can give is hire help! It makes ur life soo much easier!

Inlimb, just ask your mp to request the copy of the letter they send in mid Febuary to his or her office. They told my mp that they sent me a letter around Jan-Feb but that was a liar. Now my mp is asking them he wants to see the copy in his office. If accra office did not kill you no one can ever cause you a pain.

Sometimes is not even about the money but knowing you can do a better job on your own. Your lawyer still needs you to provide all the evidence and fill some forms on your own,so why should I get a lawyer when my case is not complicated. Most ppl on this forum did they paperwork on their own and believe they did a wonderful job. The guy you paid might not even do up to that.

You have been on this for close or over 4 years now, so plz don't give up. If I was in your shoe I don't even know if I will have the strength for appeal. God will never give you a problem that is not within strength,just keep fight n u will laugh at the end.

phewww!!!... finally out of my depression mode .. thank you everyone for your support.. this has been the worst thing i've had to face ever.. never planned for this but we are here now and its just a way forward.. still contemplating weather to appeal or re-apply.. have a good weekend everyone!
