Let him or her go to alagbon, since shes doing it for herself, she will be told what to do there,no cause for alarm, she only need to send forms for finger prints to you assuming she wants to do it on your behalf, but since its for her, then let her just walk in and follow the instructions given to her.

@ yinkuzi, since the person that needs it is in nigeria, then thats great, let her do all the necessary finger prints,a copy of the form will be given to her to send with her application as an evidence of police report, than the fingerprints will be with the police headquaters, that will be sent to accra on request
the ORIGINAL police report plus finger print and not copy will be given to the person who applied for police report. It is these original that must b included with ur Application. copies are not accepted only Originals. NPF keeps copy so that during security and background check the Canada Boarder Service agents might later revert to d NPF and in dat case the Number appended on the report will b used to trace if the Applicant acctually did d report from them or not.Original is the property of d Canadian govvernment

@ Yinkuzi,

in addition to all the suggestions, it is also worthy of note that the finger print page will have some lines, and numbering written with pencil. pls tell your patner not to clean them . just submit aith all d markings and numbers

jeremiah 29_11,check out this link ****,it will guide you on how to send the documents to accra, pls send it with your file number, the address is on the site.i hope this is helpful?

Hey Chenny,

Thanks for this reply. I'm just wondering though. The site talks about waiting for your file number (letter B followed by 9 digits). Is this different then from the UCI number and application number? The last letter I received was the one stating I was approved as a sponsor. Is there a letter to come then from the Accra office to say they received the file and give us this file number? How long does that take typically?

Thanks!

your file number, its the one on your acknowledgment, its starts with F with nine digits after,

its different from UCI number,if you received an email from canada to acknowledge that your application has been received then the number is on it.it starts with F00...........,ITS nine digit, its same as application number sent to you from ottawa

Yeah you right, i saw yours and i posted my comment. As for the accra office i don't even know what to tell them for putting prople in a very stressful situation. Like i said i ordered my GMCS note but i made a mistake on the consent form by filling my information at a wrong spot so they sent me a letter that i should correct that and send back to them in 30 days.

@ bbccanada thank you. I contacted my MP and 2 weeks ago. They said they have sent an inquiry on the progress of my application but I have not heard from my MP thus I suspect they haven't heard from the Accra office.

You are welcome hope you hear a very good news very soon cos you have gone through a lot and deserve to be happy.

Thanks again Chenny. I wonder why they say Letter B then. I thought it was the one with an F but that confused me.

jeremiah, pls read the instructions well, letter B is for those that applied for permanent residents as stated there,it was an example,so dont get it mixed up and dont be confused, letter F is for family class.nothing to be confused about

Where ever you read that has probably not been updated. File numbers used to start with B. our file number used to buy after my successful appeal and the file being reopened, we now have an F file number.

Hi All,

Below is information from the visa in Accra regarding submission of documents:

When submitting documents directly to the visa office, you must ensure that your full name and file number (F000xxxxxx) is clearly indicated at the front of your package.

This was sent to us with my husband's PPR

Hope it helps.
