Logged into eCAS and saw this:

Permanent Residence Application Status
Application Received

We received Husband's Name application for permanent residence on October 18, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

When i checked the link for outland applicants, in the explanation column "Medical results have been received" is in the "Decision Made" status.

I need some clarification: Has Accra been processing his application since Oct. 18th?

No , His application was received in CIC -Miss Oct 18th and started processing there but with the update on your Ecas, it shows your applications should be on it way to Accra ,if not there already

Hello... I need some help.. Application was received aug 27 in mississauga ..received sponsor approval oct 10 and patiently waiting to hear from ghana.
My question is at the tym of application we did not provide many pictures becaouse I had only spent 5 days with my husband when I went the first time... I travelled again this month and spent over 3 weeks with him.. Is it nesecarry to send more info to ghana or do we just package the info for when he's called for the interview... Appreciate your help..

No, i advice you not to send the pictures to them but save everything for the interview because sending the pictures without them requesting it is not a good idea. Now when they finally invited your husband for interview they will request for the pictures and then you have the chance to send them a box full of picture cos they requested for it. Good luck

@ Monalizy: Thanks for the info :)

@ chenny I used state registry in ogun state, you can still forward your police report to Ghana.

I am in Quebec and i also need to be approved by the province to sponsor my husband. He will then get his CSQ (quebec selection certificate). Does this have any real effect on him getting his PRV.

Getting the CSQ is a step towards getting the PRV but the CSQ doesn't guaranteed automatic PRV. The visa office will not issue a visa without the CSQ if the principle applicant is coming to reside in Quebec therefore we have to follow the process and think about positive answer.

The CSQ does seem like a useless yet necessary step. Oh well...Quebec is a "special" place :)
