i just recieved a mail from cic requesting for my birth certificate issued at birth,however,theres no way i can trace that,i planned going to the hospital where i was born to get something to show or wat...hmmmmmm,am so confused all my police clearence and medicals are ready but the birth cert is screwing me up,can any of u be of help to ur bro? ma y3 wild paaaaa :'(

providing that will be very difficult , in Ghana not many people born in the 80s has that , and even now people don't take birth certificate seriously , try asking your family and if they don't have it write a letter explaining . Hope they don't deny you because of that , don't you ha e owing or hospital card of when you first visited the hospital ? I have mine

What if a birth certificate was never issued at birth? My husband just got his first birth certificate in 2013. He grew up in the village and having a birth certificate was not a priority.

yeah i just came from the rigistry of birth and death and nothing could be done,frankly speaking am one of those people who doesnt know the last time he visited the hospital,i hardly fell sick and i dnt have any reciept to show cic,i dnt also have baptismal certificate and i dnt wana provide anything that is new,

Did you provide a birth certificate with the application, Ghanaboy? If yes, then all you can do is explain the situation. If not, I would get a new one (if possible) and explain why you don't have one from birth.

Then I would explain the situation in regards to the birth certificate. You can't produce what you don't have. Best of luck to you!

sorry man , hopefully they don't ask me to do same lol I got mine in 2013 a well , b cert was not a big deal when we were born , I have what we called weighing card , that's a card issued at the hospital few days after you are born to check your weight , and give you immunization against diseases , it shows the date I was born , and first time you were seen at hospital , the registra said it used to be a Birth cert , I found that whiles going through my moms bags . Hopefully that won't be a problem for us .

Ghana boy, Im not surprised that they would demand this of you, but as Ama says you cant give them what you dont have. I know they are picky now on newly issued documents, its crazy, good luck!
