Our application and story is so similar...if you didn't mention Ghana i'd say this was my wife posting this..we of course had our baby in the month of may and am yet to meet my son...and yes i've heard Nothing..my wife has already visited the MP...soon we'd hear something...I am very positive..stay strong dearThank you everyone for sharing here. I have been following along for a while and it has been so great to get some insight into what might be going on at AVO.
I am a Canadian sponsoring my husband from Ghana. We submitted our application on January 31st 2017 and received sponsorship approval February 27th 2017. Application was received in Accra (They started processing according to the online Check Your Application Status...) on March 30th 2017. At the end of August I gave birth to our child in Canada with my husband still in Ghana. We haven't heard anything from CIC since the email saying I was approved as a sponsor on February 27th.
did my medical upfront and it was accepted and my cic portal says medical passed..I noticed most people,on here are still waiting for medical to be requested..I did mine upfront even though they said it had changed and they accepted and updated both my ecas and mycic account with the information that they received itWhen my husband went to get his medicals done upfront in Accra at the end of December 2016 they told him that since the process changed in December 2016 he could not do the medicals upfront. Instead he would have to wait for them to be requested. Since we submitted by January 31st we used the 2016 application forms and process (we were told by our lawyer that the cutoff for submitting with the 2016 forms and process was Jan 31st). CIC has not made any request for medicals, so we are assuming that our application is being treated as a 2016 application.
Congrats! God is awesomeGood news!!!!! God has done it for my family too oo! So I'm at work and I am seeing constant messages from my hubby. He tells me it's urgent so I should call him. And to check my email before I call him. I check and there is 3 emails from AVO. One is telling us his visa is ready and to send the passport in 15 days. The second one is a recall message of the first email ( my stomach jumps and I am starting to feel sad) then the third one, full of light, again, for him to send his passport off visa issuance but this time within 7days. You should see me at my desk. I am so excited, I can't contain it....
Hi @ooao, my status changed to DM then pick up mail dropped after about 40 mins but it's not the same for everyone. Some don't get to see anything and it doesn't mean something is wrong. Just relax ur mind. How long has it been?Congrats to everyone that received passport request. Has anyone received their passport back ? or has the status on the cic website changed for anyone that summited their passport? I haven't received any email from cic since we summited our passport and the information on the website hasn't changed.
My husband sent in our son's birth certificate and our recent chat history last week.@colmiz did you send them any unsolicited additional documents recently?
Thank you my dear. Get ready you are next this week or early next weekHaha I'm so happy for u my friend.congratulations
Thank you hun. I pray and wish the same for youCongrats Colmiz. Good good news!
Thank you dear! And to answer your question, I don't think the request will delay it. We literally sent additional chat history like last Wednesday. I just think it's Sept applicants turn. Your visa is on the way!Hello, House. I have a question, please. I applied for GCMS notes last month (September 13th). I am a September 19th, 2016 applicant. It seems like they are currently issuing visas to September applicants mostly and we should probably be hearing back from them soon. My question is, is it possible that my GCMS notes request will delay my PPR/Re-Medical request from AVO? I’m just hoping we haven’t shot ourselves in the foot with this one. Thanks.
Yes ooo. You should see me now. I am smiling from cheek to cheek. I can't believe it.YAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY WWHHHHOOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!! So happy for you girl!!!!! Best news!!!!!!!!!
I would highly suggest you contact CIC with how they spelled the name prior to the medicals because they are using same bar code details on every document. have it corrected properly prior to anything else to be actioned.I submitted my application June and gotrequest for police certificate August now I am expecting medicals request this October, but I noticed something since they approved my spouse to sponsor and also requested my police certificate, which I have submitted the last letter on of my family name was spelt "N" instead of "M" and this mistake is from CIC in Mississauga. What should I do? Should i wait after my medicals the I write a letter for namechange why sending passport or what? Tnx
From what I understand, they just want the passport and info within 7days instead of the initial 15. I guess that will be because our medicals expire November 6th so they want to give us time to gather our belonging and prep up (not like this is any help for us)Congratulations!!! You may want to confirm the sequence of the "recalled" email though so you know what to send to AVO.
Yea, our application was a year on Sept 16th. So a little over a year. No, our medicals expire in November. We didn't do upfront medicals as we didn't know about it at the time but quickly did one and sent it after we found out about it. We have been asked to update family configuration though.congratulations!!! I guess your application is more than a year old now. were you asked for new schedule A, police report or new medicals?
