Thank you @xls @senaghana and @ClassicD . Yes, my husband has gone for two police checks before; the one we did expired before we sent in our app because we were delayed gathering documents and the second one we were able to send with our app. There is a guy that helps him out there and he gets it the next day. Just the travel which sucks. Thanks guys!

I pray for new week with more good news in Jesus name.

Nigeria passport office needs the old passport before they can issue a new passport. So, I ask cic to return the passport we submitted.

I hope this won't cause another delay? They gave my husband 30days to submit new passport.

This is Ghana, trust me i got mine the next day after applying with an extra 100cedis so just wait

@becos, can you check your inbox please?

i can send you screen shot ... at the bottom of the certificate below the applicant name it says
whose true representation appears in the picture above doea not appear in the criminal records of ghana police service. this is valid for 6 months from date of issue. so maybe other countries may be different however on the GH it clearly states it

I'll take your word for it. I will have my hubby check one of these days...if he has a photocopy of his original.

I think you can add it. An email is different than adding people. And especially if CIC noticed, you should do it.
I agree for email, there's no harm in adding it.

I would suggest you just wait for them to contact you. Remember it's case by case situation.
I'm itching like @becos oh, @xls...since chances that the 2016 partners will get PPR before end of the year, I am contemplating having my hubby redo his police report before they ask for it..this way there's no further delays

I am not surprised because it appears that after PM trudeau made changes to the application process effective Dec 7, 2016, they effectively made two commitments. One commitment is for those that applied before Dec 7, 2016 (est 17 months as it shows) and those that applied with the new process after Dec 7, 2016 (est 12 months as it shows).
This means that there are two queues. While this is frustrating for those of us that applied long before Dec 7, 2016, there is nothing we can do about it. It's a decision they made.

In Accra visa office or from another visa office? Because I see no reason why they will issue visa to a person who just applied this year leaving 2016 applicants unattended to. Please reconfirm if that was spousal application and if it's from Accra office.
