if you want to get more angrier..just check..

MANILA VISA OFFICE Philippines SPOUSE/FAMILY TIMELINE .....

I think with Ghana AVO is the same, African thing that worries African Countries...

Coupled with the fact that these guys know that Philippinos will do any kind of Job, forever..

but west Africans will start struggling for their very own Jobs, so its a control measure...

...

The Accra office is not a place to dream about faster processing time. Does anyone knows which month's files they are working on at the moment?

@boatswife, by looking at your time line and your interview date I think your journey will come to an end by the end of next month

After speaking with the immigration ministers office a few days ago , It was clear they take others seriously cause they don't hear complains from us. I can't believe I am practically one of the few If not only sponsor that have called that office concerning this issue. They where even shocked to see how angry I was. sponsors pick up the phone and call the ministers office, if they don't hear our voice that won't speed up. All this complaining on forum wont change anything.
My MP made it clear that the unity of other countries sponsors and how they made their voices heard is what makes them taken seriously, all this all man for himself is what is making this VO not improving. Of you are a sponsor, pick up the phone and call the minister of immigration office and let them know how it is out here.

I love your questions.waiting.we always happy for those who's applications are processed quickly but it doesn't mean the visa office is doing a good job.you know the number of visa offices who are currently working on September application when we all are paying the same visa fees.its very sad and I sometimes feel this long processing brings a lot of stress and unnecessary tension between couples.i pray the new government improve on their processing time worldwide.we all understand, the office is handling lots of countries but what I don't understand is why they don't have more officers and staff to be able to work on all 8 countries.it is very sad to come from Africa but God is in control

I agree with you. I' m from benin, applied since 2015 in the category of skilled workers selected by quebec. I and many other applicants from benin and togo have not received medical requirement still from the visa office. We can't do it without being ordered to by the visa office. Being waiting for more than 16 months and some even almost 18 months overall and still nothing so far. What is going on with the visa office?

You are absolutely right. This is something that must be done. If the immigration minister is aware of our plight I'm very sure they will do something about it. I'll ask my husband to make his voice heard too. Sponsors should let them know how we are all feeling.

You are right. Especially now that the immigration minister is one of our own from Africa, we must reach out to him to look into it.

P.S. Not that I can't look for it but it would be nice to post the number here for those with no access to a smartphone/computer

P.s. will be calling on monday

That would be very nice, we all need to make our voices heard, those people don't know what's going on, if we stay silent they will continue. If you checked the proceedings time on the website they have increased it. meanwhile, others are enjoying the new 12months processing. Just a simple call.

613-954-1064 that's the number, when you call you most likely will get the front desk lady. But all the same she will convey the complaints to him. People in Philippines don't have two heads, they just know how to speak in one voice, now they are enjoying it. Your voice is important to us all let's let them know our pains, it's not easy to live without ones spouse for so long.

I just called and the office is presently closed cos I am really not happy with the way the Accra office handling processing time. For example, looked at the Cairo visa office? isn't it the same Africa? The average processing time in Cairo is 5 month. Someone just got a passport request just 5 months.

All other visa offices are fast, all of them except Ghana. Someone from Nairobi VO got it in 6months,someone from Jamaica got it in 3 months. If we don't speak out, they will just act like nothing is wrong. All VO offices are working very fast to meet the 12months deadline that was given by the previous minister. We can't be looking while others enjoy it. Everyone should pick up their phones and start calling, as from next week I am calling them again, they must do something.
